AP905 RADIO FREQUENCY COUNTER

1. OVERVIEW

4. APPLICATIONS

The AP905 is a radio frequency counter. It converts the local oscillator frequency in the radio front end to numerical value for station frequency display, and it is applicable to most RDS application systems. By using advanced CMOS technology, AP905 consumes very low power in standby mode.

AP905 RADIO FREQUENCY COUNTER 8. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION 8.1 Radio Frequency Counting Operation (Radio Frequency Mode) The AP905 detects the station frequency by capturing the FM and AM local oscillator output generated from the external RF receiver. These carrier frequencies are fed into the internal high gain input comparator through the FMIN and the AMIN pins respectively. Depending on the state of the BAND_SEL pin, the FM or AM signal will be selected for the IF frequency offset block of the AP905 and the FM / AM frequency will be subtracted from or added to the input signal. RANGE limit of the frequency detection is 0.1s. Frequency Range RANGE BAND_SEL H L L L H H H H L H
