This is an agreement between Antioch University Los Angeles (hereafter referred to as “AULA”) and Artist/Exhibitor _________________________(print name clearly) (hereafter referred to as “ARTIST”), and contains all of the understandings between AULA and the ARTIST relative to the ARTIST exhibiting his/her/their works in the show “Artistic Uprising” to be held at the Antioch University Los Angeles campus located at 400 Corporate Pointe, Culver City, CA 90230. The dates of the planned exhibit are November 11th through December 11th, 2016. This agreement will be in affect from ___/___/ 2016 (today’s date) through the date that the ARTIST picks up his/her/their work (on or before December 22nd, 2016). For the purpose of this agreement, it is understood that the definition of art/work is considered to be visual, such as paintings (of various mediums: oil, pastel, watercolor, etc.), sketches (charcoal, pencil, etc.), sculptures (bronze, pewter, plaster, alabaster, wood, etc.), photography (black and white, and color), ceramics, posters, hand-made jewelry (various metals of gold, silver, and copper, and semi-stones, clay, etc.), audio recordings, such as CDs, cassettes, vinyl, etc.), written works, such as books, story cards, individually presented prose and poetry, etc.), textiles, such as hand-made clothing, knitting, crochet, needlepoint, etc., and crafts, such as weaved basketry, wall hangings, flower arrangements, etc. AULA will: 1. Install and schedule all visual art pieces at its discretion in consultation with show curator; 2. Have the final responsibility for selecting and determining placement of the exhibited art; 3. Reserve the right to remove or relocate art work for specified or unspecified reasons; 4. Take every care in the handling, storage, installation, and removal of work; 5. Maintain limited fine art insurance coverage for property under its care; NOTE: There is a $1,000.00 deductible that is the responsibility of the ARTIST.

6. Retain the original signed and dated copy of this agreement for the purposes of archiving the show, and for the handling of potential claims of loss; and 7. Reserve the right to amend or withdraw from this agreement as situations and/or developments deem appropriate or necessary. The Artist/Exhibitor will: 1. Personally deliver work (or provide written authorization for his/her/their designee to do so in his/her/their place) during designated, scheduled drop off times (Monday, 10/17/16 – Monday, 10/31/16); 2. Personally retrieve work (or provide written authorization for his/her/their designee to do so in his/her/their place) during the designated pick up times (Monday, 12/12/16 – Thursday, 12/22/16); NOTE: Any work not retrieved by the end of business on Monday, Feb. 22, 2017 becomes the sole property of Antioch University Los Angeles. 3. Provide all materials related to the hanging of the selected and approved art/work, (including but not limited to easels, tables, nails, picture hangers, picture frames, and wire); 4. Clearly state title, medium, dimensions/descriptions, sale price, and value using Addendum A (attached) for the purposes of inventory and insurance coverage. I, the undersigned, hereby elect to participate in the AULA art exhibit under the terms outlined above. I understand that this agreement is binding, and is not transferable or amendable unless mutually agreed to in writing by AULA and ARTIST.
