Our students

Antibes / Juan-les-Pins is a safe and prosperous town with plenty to do by both day and night, and is our most popular destination with younger students. Located between Nice and Cannes, it’s a junior version of Saint-Tropez and the place to be at that age. Junior Plus program is a high standard program for demanding teenagers with an exclusive accommodation in our studio rooms

FRENCH COURSES Students may choose: -

Standard Course: o 20 lessons x 45 min./ week o Monday to Friday (except on the first Monday). o From 9:00 am  12:20 pm (15 min break); 15 students maximum in a class. Intensive Course: o 26 lessons x 45 min./ week o Monday to Friday (except on the first Monday). o From 9:00 am - 12:20 pm (15 min break); 15 students maximum in a class. o 1.45 pm - 4 pm (twice per week); 8 students maximum in a class.

SCHOOL INFORMATION Lessons take place in “Horticole” school. There is a shuttle to go to the school.

FULL BOARD ACCOMMODATION IN OUR STUDIO RESIDENCE CASTEL ARABEL Student housing in our ‘all comfort’ studios in a residence situated in the heart of Juan-les-Pins: -

10 min by walk from the beaches. Accommodation in double studio (2 students) equipped with airconditioning, private bathroom, TV, kitchenette and terrace or opening onto a garden. Residence facilities: Outdoor swimming-pool measuring about 30 m² (with outdoor furniture), nice garden snacks and vending machines. Full Board: breakfast, lunch and dinner (buffet style). Packet lunch at week-ends.

Bed linen is provided and changed weekly. Towels are not provided. Light cleaning is done each day and a thorough clean weekly. Students are responsible for their rooms and must keep them reasonably clean and tidy.

TRANSFERS Castel Arabel Residence

Arrival and departure transfers are included in the package from / to: - Nice airport - Antibes train Station Note: transfers are only included during the week-end. There is an extra cost for transfers on week days (p.7).

WEEKLY ACTIVITY PROGRAM -

ONE HALF-DAY EXCURSION per week

Cannes: Famed for its palaces, its luxury hotels and its Palais des Festivals. The visit lasts around 1h and includes old town, the “Suquet” mountain with the sightseeing, the Film Festival Palace and the “Croisette” beach.

OR

The Lerins Islands: The "Iles de Lérins" is a small archipelago just off the coast of Cannes and part of the commune of Cannes. The tour lasts around 1 hour and includes the visit of the “Fort of St Marguerite Island” and the sea museum.

OR

Marineland: One of the biggest oceanariums in the world. Private Beach

Students spend around 2h30 in the in the park enjoying numerous spectacles with whales, dolphins, etc.

ONE SAILING AFTERNOON per week

A sailing session of 1h30 accompanied by an instructor from the FFV (French Sailing Federation) -

ONE SPORT AFTERNOON per week

Our monitors organize different sports like football tournaments, beach volley, footing, aqua gym, Ping-Pong, basketball, sport themed activities.

ONE PRIVATE BEACH AFTERNOON per week

All our activities are strongly recommended but not mandatory.

A half day on a private beach in Juan-les-Pins with marine games and sports (tubing, banana riding, parasailing, fly fishing, etc.)

After each excursion students have some free time to enjoy the place by themselves.

Monaco: The Principality of Monaco is a city of luxury and beauty

According to the school activities’ schedule the full day excursion may be organized on Sunday. The free day takes pace then on Saturday.

ONE FULL-DAY EXCURSION per week at the week-end

which has many specific characteristics and it is specially known for its Casino. The tour lasts around 1 hour and includes the visit of the royal palaces, the cathedral, the Gardens and the Casino.

OR

Nice: the capital of the French Riviera, both elegant and simple. Nice's charm comes from its exceptional climate as well as its beauty. The tour lasts around 1hour and includes the visit of the “the old town” and the castle tower.

OR

Aquasplash: The largest water park on the French Riviera with numerous pools. Students have the whole day to enjoy this aquatic park (11 am to 5 pm).

EVENING ENTERTAINMENTS

A "barbecue" or themed meal, disco party, games, cabarets, shows, etc. On their arrival, the students receive a welcome pack including a weekly program of activities (See sample below).

“KIOSK” ACTIVITIES We organize extra mural programs (Kiosk) that provide students with additional activities. Example: -

SECURITY AND SUPERVISION Students are supervised by our monitors who are on the premises round the clock and ready to help and give information. Security 24/7. 13-17 y.o. students are automatically authorized to go out unaccompanied between the end of lunch (1.30pm) until the start of dinner (7.30pm).
