Please copy and distribute the appropriate pages of this package to all qualified skaters and coaches in your club. All entries must be received by the host club on or before December 13th, 2010. Incomplete forms will be returned, possibly causing a late fee or ineligibility. One club cheque should be made payable to Ice Crystal Figure Skating Club. A schedule of the event will be forwarded as soon as possible, following the receipt of all applications. ANNOUNCEMENT The 2010 Skate Canada Newfoundland & Labrador Eastern Regional Championships, hosted by Ice Crystal Figure Skating Club, will be held on Saturday, January 8th, 2011, at the Marystown Arena in Marystown, Newfoundland and Labrador. 1.
The completed entry form for the championships and the entry fee, $40.00 per event, must be given to your home club plus a one-time $5.00 Officials and Technology Development fee. The home club will submit all entries for their club. At the discretion of the Technical Representative, late entries may be accepted, however, fees for late entries may be charged.

All entry forms must be received no later than December 13th, 2010. No entry shall be accepted within 48 hours of the starting time of the first category of the competition. If entering more than one category, please submit a separate application per category.

One home club cheque should be made payable to Ice Crystal Figure Skating Club and forwarded to the host committee to cover the total cost of all Regional entries. Please do not send individual cheques.
5.
All competition entries must be accompanied by proof of valid Skate Canada membership. This should take the form of a copy of the skater’s 2010-11 membership card (Obtainable from the Members Only section of the Skate Canada web site).

A photo must accompany the entry form. If possible, this photo should be wallet size. The following information should be noted on the back of the photo: ! ! ! !

Categories to be skated at this competition will be those listed in the Skate Canada, Newfoundland & Labrador 2010-11 Technical Package.

All eligibilities as per Skate Canada Newfoundland & Labrador 2010-11 Technical

The Well Balanced program criteria as outlined in the Skate Canada STARSkate technical package applies to all STARSkate categories.

All music must be recorded on cassette or CD and two copies per category are to be submitted upon registration. Music should commence on tapes/CD no later then five seconds beyond the tape/CD leader. Each cassette, CD and container must be clearly marked with the following information: ! ! ! !
Skater’s name and home club Category (including age group) Recording time of each CD or tape “Master” or “Copy”

The size of the ice surface is 185 x 85.

Hotel Information is attached. All entrants are responsible for making their own reservations and paying their own bills.

Skaters are responsible for their own transportation.
14.
Admission to the competition will be free.
15.
Registration will be on-going throughout the day. Skaters are asked to be registered one hour prior to their event.
16.
Medals will be presented through out the day and will be announced overhead in the rink. Awards will be presented at the end of the competition.
17.
Flowers and other items will be sold during the competition.
18.
Skaters qualifying to go to Provincials must decide whether they will be attending and submit their entry fees, including a $5.00 Officials and Technology Development fee, immediately following the Regional competition. One home club cheque should be made payable to the Provincial host club to cover the cost of all Provincial entries.
19.
Skaters with a bye to Provincials (please see SCNL Technical Package) do not register for Provincials through Regionals. Registration for byed categories is direct to the Provincials host Committee and has a deadline of January 15, 2011.
20.
For opening ceremonies, skaters are to wear their club suits/jackets/sweaters, etc. Don’t forget to bring along your club banner.
