Dear INAS members, Dear sport friends, Turkey will welcome the 2016 INAS Athletics Championships – Europe on 28th June to 03rd July 2016 in the capital city of Turkey, Ankara. TOSSFED – Turkish Special Athletes Sport Federation is the only authorized organisation in Republic of Turkey which is responsible holding intellectual disabled sport events and providing those mentally disabled persons to be competitor in national and international events. TOSSFED has great experiences regarding to host and organising international sport events such as INAS World Skiing Championships in Erzurum on March 2013, INAS European Indoor Athletics Championships in İstanbul on March 2013 and INAS World Basketball Championships in Ankara on October 2013 for intellectual impaired athletes. TOSSFED that known as INAS Turkey is a an active member organisation of the INAS - International Sports Federation for Para-Athletes with Intellectual Disabilities in good standing and also a member of IPC – International Paralympic Committee via TMPK – Turkish National Paralympic Committee. The event has been sanctioned by INAS Europe and approved by IPC. You can find it on both INAS and IPC Athletics events calendars. It will be the most critical event on the pathway of 2016 Paralympic Games before the 14th August 2016 that is the important day whose (athletes) intent to achieve AQS and BQS performances for entry to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. The event is open for the athletes of INAS members and paralympic athletes of IPC (F20 and T20) with classification status confirmed (C) or review (R). Thus, TOSSFED is delighted to invite you to the 2016 INAS Athletics Championships – Europe that will take place in Ankara. Location: Ankara, Turkey Ankara; (historically known as Angora) is the capital of Turkey and the country's second largest city after Istanbul. Medical Service: Medical staff will be present each day of competition. There are hospitals close to hotel and competition venues. Health Care: It is necessary for all participants to have contributory insurance cover. Participating teams are responsible for their own insurance requirements for travel, personal accident, liability and medical matters. Language: All the materials and informations will be available in both English and Turkish. Accreditation: Accreditation cards will be issued to each of athlete only after he/she has personally shown his/her valid passport to the Event Eligibility Officer. Accrediation will also be provided to staff and other officals on registration. An accreditation room will be available in the hotel. Sport Rules and Regulations: According to rules and regulations of IAAF, IPC and INAS. Paralympic athletes of NPCs must have international classification (T/F20) with classification status confirmed (C) or review (R) on the Classification Master List of IPC Athletics’ Summer Season 2016. The athletes who do not meet the qualifying criteria or do not appear on the INAS and IPC (for only paralympians) Classification Master list are not eligible for this event. Travel Information and Transport Services: The LOC will provide transport services from/to Ankara Esenboğa Airport and Anadolu Hotels DownTown Ankara while arrival on 28th June and while departure on 03rd July. The shuttle buses will service all the participants from/to the venue(s) and the hotel during the competitions.

Visa Information: NF/NPC delegations requiring a visa to enter Turkey should contact with the LOC. After submitting their entries, NF/NPC delegations can request an invitation letter to the event. Please make sure that all the details are inform correctly to the LOC as soon as possible.
