Drug Record Number (DrugRecNo) • The first six characters in the Drug Code • The Drug record number (drecno) is the same for all entries containing the same active ingredient or unique combination of active ingredients. DrugRecNo

Coding Conventions • Before trial start make sure to agree on coding conventions: – Agreement between teams (or Sponsor and CRO) on all aspects of coding, correct Dictionary and version etc. – Agreement between stakeholders (biostatisticians, coders, data managers, IT, etc) – Validation Service

• Development of Coding Conventions – Set of rules on how to deal with scenarios – Include versioning aspects – Granularity of coding

– Training and background of coders – Let UMC assist you! © 2015 Anna Mattsson, Uppsala Monitoring Centre
