Barretts of Aspley (BoA) was originally founded by Geoffrey Richard Barrett in 1991, providing fabricating solutions to private and commercial building initiatives.
Today, headed by Managing Director Antony Barrett, BoA boasts a 70,000 sq ft production facility situated over a six acre site with excellent distribution links to all parts of the UK.
Over two decades substantial investment and continued growth has facilitated considerable modernisation and expansion.
An experienced work force of over 100 skilled personnel, utilising cutting edge technology and hand finished techniques, provide us with a service considered by many to be second to none. We undertake a wide variety of projects within the construction and property development industry.
Our client list consists of many of the UK’s largest developers and main contractors. We work closely with our clients at every stage of the project from Design & Planning through to On-site Installation ensuring delivery of the best possible solution. An ethos of continued investment and improvement has allowed BoA to provide a full range of services to complement the proven track record in contract delivery. Barretts of Aspley’s systems are accredited to the following standards: BS ISO 9001 – Quality, BS ISO 14001 – Environmental and OHSAS 18001 – Health & Safety.
This ranges from multi-million pound development and regeneration projects to smaller scale creative new builds and commercial ventures.

CONSULTANCY & DESIGN Our Design and Commercial Team work closely together to plan and cost every stage of your project from start to finish. This initial phase determines the designs, timescales and budget allocation ensuring that all eventualities are covered. Our Project Managers, CAD Technicians and Production Team work closely with our clients, Architects and Engineers to ensure the build ability of any concept. Drawings are then developed to full working fabrication drawings which integrate with our state of the art machinery.
AUTOMATED PRODUCTION To ensure the speed and accuracy of all projects BoA continually invests in the latest automated machinery to enable the company to maximise capacity, efficiency, accuracy and quality. Automated drill and saw lines, plate profiling centres and on-line finishing facilities combine to generate an enormous output which allows BoA to service customer’s requirements no matter what the size of project. All machinery is networked back to the Design Office to ensure the smooth communication between design and manufacturing.
BESPOKE FABRICATION Our team of fully skilled Fabricators and Welders are capable of turning any drawing or architectural development into reality. Many traditional techniques are still used to create exacting details and pride is taken in every piece of work produced. BoA also provides a complete range of finishes to suit any design specification. Throughout the entire process Quality Control and Assurance procedures are implemented to ensure the highest standards of manufacture are achieved.
ON-SITE INSTALLATION Our on-site Installation Engineers will work closely with your Site Managers to oversee all stages of installations. Our many years of site experience combine to aid complex builds and satisfy your programme requirements. Our fully qualified Installation Teams adhere to the latest Health and Safety regulations to ensure the quality and integrity of your build is maintained at all times.

BOA’S PRODUCTION FACILITY IN BEDFORDSHIRE IS SITUATED ONE MILE FROM JUNCTION 13 OF THE M1 ALLOWING EXCELLENT TRANSPORT LINKS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

9. The site covering six acres provides 70,000 sq ft of operational floor space allowing BoA to generate large volumes of production capacity to service customer requirements
Extensive assembly and secure storage areas allow BoA to manufacture in modular format and deliver completed units to assist client’s programmes and improve health & safety.
Continued investment in the latest production machinery gives BoA a production capability including on-line automated drill & saw lines, profiling machines, automated finishing facility, punch/laser and brake presses.
All finished products are transported via BoA’s own fleet of vehicles, giving complete control of logistics which allows BoA to ensure it can service customers delivery requirements.
Due to the scale of the facility, BoA are able to undertake multiple projects at the same time, whilst maintaining the ability to deliver against tight build programmes.

BoA Finishing services offers an extensive range of finishes to metal products, providing high quality architectural finishes and corrosion protection through powder coating, wet spray finishes and zinc coatings.

BoA Sheet Metal Products can help you to fulfil all your light gauge fabrication and pressing requirements. We are experienced in working with mild steel, stainless steel, zintec, aluminium and plastic materials. Our range of products include cabinets, flashings, cappings, perforated panels, louvers and architectural metal work of all shapes and sizes all of which complement the overall BoA service and provide customers with the highest qualify end product.

The team of skilled fabricators and welders can punch, fold, roll, press and weld to produce high quality products which can be supplied in either their natural finish or in a durable powder coated finish.
ALUMINIUM PRODUCTS
BoA Finishing Services boasts a fully automated powder coating plant, which offers the latest environmentally friendly chromate free pre-treatment process allowing finished products to confirm to European Standards EN 12206 & EN 13438. Applicator approval allows BoA to pass on powder manufacturers warranties giving customers confidence in specifying a product. Where powder coating is unsuitable BoA Finishing Services is able offer wet spray finishes which give customers a high quality finish and the comfort of a long life to first maintenance. Our staff have an extensive knowledge of anti-corrosion treatments for metal products and are happy to provide this expertise in specifying the most suitable coating method for customers and specifiers.
