SAP Sourcing / CLM Roadmap Continued Innovation SAP intends to continue providing customer-driven innovation to its On-Premise SAP Sourcing customers on a regular cadence of every 18-24 months. •

SAP currently supports Releases 7.0 (EOM 12/31/2017) and 9.0. (EOM 12/31/2015)

Release 10 SAP is in the final phases of development of Release 10. We are on-track to have SAP Sourcing Release 10 enter ramp-up in May 2014 with an anticipated Generally Availability during the 4th quarter of 2014. Release 10.0’s expected end of maintenance is 12/31/2018.

Release 11 SAP is in the early stages of planning for SAP Sourcing Release 11 with an estimated Ramp Up in Q2 2016 and General Availability in Q4 2016. We will be conducting a customer survey to establish the priority for customer driven innovations and enhancements in early Q2 2014. SAP CLM Enhancements New Contract Generation Service (DOCX Service)

Contract Generation Background  To generate contracts in CLM, a contract generation service is required which is hosted on a separate windows server.

Challenges with old contract generation service  Separate windows server is required, which adds to TCO  Every time IT team applies a windows security patch to the windows server, Microsoft does not guarantee the stability of contract generation service.

 Contract documents needs to be sent back and forth between the windows server and SAP Sourcing server which may cause performance issues such as lengthy wait times to generate the contract.  In case of issues with the contract generation service, debug the windows server and debugging the sourcing server for the root cause analysis is required. This can be a lengthy and costly process.

SAP CLM Enhancements New Contract Generation Service (DOCX Service)

Resolution: New DOCX service  New service will co-exist with old contract generation service.

 New service will reduce TCO by not requiring additional windows server.  New service runs as a part of SAP Sourcing server and no separate configuration and installation is required thus provides high performance in generating the contracts.  New service is not impacted by frequent security updates from Microsoft.  It is recommended that customers should move to new DOCX Service

SAP CLM Enhancements New Contract Generation Service FAQ

What if Customers are already using Old contract generation service?  It is recommended for them to move to new DOCX service for above advantages.  They can continue to use old generation service and opt to switch to new DOCX service in case of any issues.

What is needed to Migrate to new DOCX Service?  Migration is straight forward. Customers are required to migrate all of their existing clause documents and word templates which are in .doc or .dot format to .docx or .dotx format.  SAP provides a utility to migrate these documents automatically. It can take few minutes to few hours depending on number of clause documents.  Customers can migrate these documents on staging server first and move to production after successful conversion.  A new system property is used to switch between Old and New service.

What if Customers have never used contract generation service?  They must use new DOCX service.

How the new DOCX service is delivered to Customers?  It was delivered in 7.0 SP5, 9.0 SP11 and 10.0

SAP CLM Enhancements – Contract Generation Section Breaks Option with Clauses Doc Types Enable Section Break at the Clause Level  Flag Clauses via Setup/Clause Library to enable the Section Break feature  Clauses that have the section break feature turned on will enforce a MS Word Section break immediately before it. The new section within the contract document can then have its own unique header, footer, portrait/landscape orientation, margins, columns, line numbering, page numbering etc. as it is defined within that clause

SAP CLM Enhancements Perpetual term enabled within ERP Integrated Doc Types ERP Doc Types – Perpetual term checkbox enabled  Previously ERP integrated Master Agreement Document Types were prevented from turning on the Perpetual Term checkbox.  Now if you use the Master Agreement/Sub-Agreement structure you can define the MA as perpetual and still setup your Sub-Agreements with start and end dates.  Benefit: Configuration flexibility, Provides setup that mirrors how our customers define their Parent Master Agreements with Sub- Agreements. © 2014 SAP AG. family had to all be from doc_types that had Integration System Type enabled (SRM or ERP) or all had Integration System Type disabled (None) • Now Master Agreement hierarchy families can have Integrated and Non-

Integrated Master Agreement documents within the same hierarchy family. • When creating a child agreement from a parent MA users can select

doc_types with any of the 3 Integration System Types: None, ERP or SRM • Similarly, when linking an existing Master Agreement with another Master

Cross-Solution Enhancement Usability Supplier Create Feature within Documents Supplier Contact Create Window  Previously, if a user attempted to create a new supplier contact on the Supplier tab via the Contact picker they were forced to create a new supplier too.  Now the user has the option to create a new contact for an existing supplier  Users still require authorization for access to this feature  Benefits: More intuitive, Easier to create a new contact for an existing supplier (on the fly) which is the more likely use case.
