If power consumption is analysed in relation to flow rate, it is clear at a glance that M1 from Helios scores well. For this reason, MiniVent® has been awarded the ‘greenTec-Label’ for, particularly, energy saving solutions.

When introducing the M1/100, Helios succeeded in setting the new market standard with just 25 dB(A) at 75m3/h. The M1/150 is now furthering this success with just 35 dB(A) at 280m3/h.

MECHANICAL VENTILATION WITH HEAT RECOVERY

HRV Series

WHOLE HOUSE VENTILATION UNIT

Titon HRV Series is a small, highly efficient ventilation unit easily incorporated into small houses or apartments where space is at a premium.

A centrally located continuously running mechanical supply and extract fan extracts air via ducts from moisture producing areas or ‘wet rooms’ such as kitchens and bathrooms to remove odours and excessive humidity. The air is passed over the heat exchanger, which transfers a high proportion of the heat of the extract air to the incoming air, which is then distributed to the habitable rooms via ducts. Whole building ventilation is maintained by a contrast flow of air between input and extract points. A boost facility provides rapid extraction when necessary to remove higher levels of pollutants and humidity. As an alternative, every room may have an individual unit as opposed to a centrally located and ducted unit.

HRV Q Plus Highly Efficient Heat Recovery Ventilation Units The revolutionary ultra-compact HRV Q Plus continuously running whole house ventilation unit with heat recovery is independently tested to the highest standards. The HRV Q Plus has been specifically designed to give improved performance over older models without increasing the overall size of the unit. The combination of ultra low power consumption and a highly efficient heat exchanger is specifically designed to enhance SAP performance via Appendix Q, yet the unit remains small enough to be easily incorporated into apartments and smaller houses where space it at a premium. The HRV Q Plus Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery unit has many new features including removable airtight filter covers for easy access to filter maintenance.

Induction Fans V2

A Car Park Ventilation system needs to control the concentration of pollutants. Every day the car park will be exposed to exhaust fumes from the cars driving in and out.

The second generation was implemented in 2007. This new and unique generation of fans has been developed to provide many technical and financial benefits and advantages, using the unique patented outlet venturi and the ultra-flat centrifugal impeller, resulting in a very low installation height of 257mm.

The average length of stay in a car park is less than 1 hour. Nevertheless, the system must be able to control the indoor air quality and provide persons present with a healthy environment. Our research and development teams have designed the induction fan to effectively control pollutants. One of the reasons behind the slim casing design was to be able to position the fans on the driving lanes where people will be present. The induction fans, in combination with the supply and exhaust ventilation, effectively flush the driving lanes with fresh air. Induction fans will give a constant airflow that is a constant pulse and because the pulse is constant we call it thrust. With this thrust the fan is pushing the surrounding air and, as the fan is fixed to the ceiling, the surrounding air will be moved forward. Furthermore the fan also induces turbulence in the surrounding air, up to 19 times the air actually passing through the fan.

The minimised casing height in combination with the special designed outlet nozzles enables a designer to position the fans at the ideal location. Gas Controller Systems

Carbon Monoxide (CO) Transmitter

The DGC-05 gas controller fulfills the functions of monitoring carbon monoxide (CO).

For the detection of carbon monoxide (CO).

The controller can monitor and process up to 98 digital and/or analogue gas transmitters. Five free adjustable alarm thresholds are provided per transmitter. For the alarm messages, up to 30 alarm relays with potential freechangeover contact and up to 12 analogue outputs are available. In addition, the gas control is available with an uninterruptible power supply supported by a rechargeable battery. The optional data logger function permits to protocol all measured values, alarms and faults.

CO transmitter including digital measurement value processing and temperature compensation for the continuous monitoring of the ambient air to detect carbon monoxide concentrations. The transmitter possesses a standard analogue output 4–20mA or 2–10 V DC.

Variable Speed Drives A complete motor control solution is available utilising the latest technology in VSD’s designed especially for the HVAC industry.

The dual purpose IDV-HC-v2 series garage ventilation fans are designed to direct air through the car park. The suction of the fan is through the fan guard and inlet cone on the bottom of the fan. The discharge is through the outlets at the front of the fan.

The ventilator unit is directly driven by a standard electric motor integrally mounted in the air stream, the impeller has backward curved blades and is directly mounted on the shaft of the integral motor. The motor employed is of the type IP55. Insulation Class H. The connection voltage for the motor is 400v/3ph/50Hz. The ventilation unit must be correctly grounded at all times.

HQ / HW Series COMPACT AND FULLY REVERSIBLE

A range of compact fixed-pitch, plate-mounted, axial-flow fans suitable for wall or panel mounting.

Plate Axial Fan Features Casing Manufactured in galvanised sheet steel. Models HQ and HW have the additional protection of two coats of light grey paint.

Speed Control Both HQ and HW are speed controllable by voltage reduction (transformer controller or electronic controller).

Impeller Highly efficient, profiled seven blade impeller, dynamically balanced and manufactured from impact-resistant polymers. Suitable for -30oC to +60oC.

Reversed Operation HQ and HW are reversible when wired to a DSEL reversing switch. For reverse airflow direction allow for ¹/₃ drop in performance.

Motor Totally enclosed, reversible motor with a die-cast aluminium casing, protected to IP 54. Sealed-for-life ball bearings with tropicalised protection of windings and radio suppression. All models have automatic resetting thermal contacts wired in series with the motor windings. Terminals in motor cap (IP 55). Powder-coated motor side wire guard.

GB Series

QUIET AND MULTIPLE DISCHARGE Particularly suitable for medium to higher air flow volumes against high resistances in ventilation systems of every type.

Compact frame construction and assembly-friendly accessories make a variable and thus optimal adaptation possible by simply repositioning the casing panels to the structural conditions. With five or (with series T120) three possible discharge directions this gives design flexibility to suit all site conditions. All types have integrated crane hooks for easier positioning as standard. They are particularly suitable for medium to higher air flow volumes against high resistances in ventilation systems of every type. Furthermore, the new series GB.. T120 is suited for extraction of dirty, hot air up to 120oC. Altogether, 26 models are available with air flow volumes from 1400 to 19,000 m3/h for duct diameters 250 to 710 mm. GigaBoxes from Allvent are delivered complete with: • Discharge adaptor from square to circular ducted system for low-loss discharge • Flexible sleeves to reduce vibration transmission and for the connection to ducts in the usual standard diameters Backward curved high output centrifugal impeller guarantees an energy-efficient operation at low noise emission. The double-walled, removable, 20 mm thick side panels are noise and temperature insulated with flame retardant mineral wool.

Vertical Discharge KITCHEN EXHAUST FANS

This series is a range of high performance all metal fans for use in kitchen exhaust and general ventilation applications. Motors are mounted out of the air stream and wind bands are secured with clip fasteners to allow easy access for servicing and cleaning.

Construction

Technical Data

Fabricated from powder coated galvanised steel in compliance with AS/NZS1668.1:1998 for kitchen exhaust systems. High performance backward curved centrifugal impellers are driven by TEFC motors incorporating sealed for life bearings. Class F motors are rated to 80oC ambient air temperature. Class H motors are rated to 120oC ambient air temperature. Available in optional ColourbondTM colours.

Fan Selection Guide To choose the right fan for your purpose, we need to calculate the airflow required for your room in m3/hr. Allvent has developed this easy-to-use four step guide to determine your m3/hr number and help choose the fan right for you. Bathroom Toilet Laundry Kitchen Sub-floor

This is calculated using the three measurements of length, width and height of your room in metres.

Use this calculation:

We use these two numbers you now have from Step 1 (ac/hr) and Step 2 (m3) to calculate the airflow required.

Eg: 10 (ac/hr) x 24 (m3) = 240m3/hr

Using the m3/hr figure you calculated in Step 3, select the fan from the table which most closely fits your needs. We recommend that you choose the fan to the nearest value HIGHER than your number. For example, if the number you calculated at the end of Step 3 is 240m3/hr, choose a fan with a m3/hr higher than 240.
