All the approved fountain solutions pass corrosion tests as well as plastic swelling tests. Only founts with the exact spelling on the list are approved. The maximum concentration is the concentration at which the corrosion tests for steel and nickel were performed. The approval is granted for concentrations lower or equal to this concentration. Be aware that fount concentrates have to fit to the waterquality and in particular meet the criteria pH of fount solution >4,8. The approval has to be renewed for fount concentrates every five years. This is expressed in the column “approval valid to”. When the date is highlighted in grey, the approval is already expired. Any additives - except rehardeners - added to a fount concentrate in the press, have to be tested alongside the fount concentrate. Approved combinations are reported in the approval lists.
