SUSI® Herzschrittmacher Set

For cardiac pacemaker implantation, Aesculap offers an all-inclusive set concept which includes all consumables required as well as all necessary surgical instruments. The high degree of standardisation of this intervention and the fact that it is predominantly implemented outside the operating theatre make it an ideal field of application for an all-inclusive set. What makes the SUSI cardiac pacemaker set so unique, is that in addition to the time-tested and reliable consumables, our SUSI product line now also allows single-use surgical instruments to be integrated, so that the intervention can be carried out entirely independently of the reconditioning and logistics processes of the sterile supply department, which means that potential shortages in the supply of sterile instruments are ruled out.

Für die Herzschrittmacher Implantation bietet Aesculap eine komplette SetKonzeption, die sowohl alle benötigten Verbrauchsmaterialien wie auch alle notwendigen chirurgischen Instrumente beinhaltet. Der Hohe Grad an Standardisierung dieses Eingriffs und die überwiegende Durchführung außerhalb des OPs prädestinieren den Einsatz eines Komplettsets. The principle: a non-sterile battery

Aesculap pioneered the use of non-sterile rechargeable batteries that never get into contact with the sterile external surfaces of the machine. Non-sterilizable batteries offer the advantages of a longer service life and maximum reliability.

Aesculap war Pionier bei der Einführung eines unsterilen Akkus, der nicht mit dem sterilen Äußeren der Maschine in Kontakt kommt. Durch den Wegfall der Sterilisation errreichen die Akkus eine höhere Lebensdauer bei maximaler Zuverlässigkeit.

Consequently this design concept has now been widely accepted and emulated.

The Difference is in the detail Acculan® 3Ti avoids sterilization not only of the temperature-sensitive battery cells, but also of the equally vulnerable control electronics by integrating it in the battery unit. The new Acculan® 3Ti represents the consistent development of our philosophy.

Vascular grafts have been implanted in human beings for almost 40 years. It was in 1952 that Voorhees and coll. demonstrated that hand-sewn tubes made of the parachute material Vinyon "N" could successfully be used to replace the abdominal aorta of both dogs and humans. These experiments with Vinyon "N" - initiated the era of prosthetic replacement of diseased arteries. Since 1986 B. Braun has been developing and manufacturing its own PET prosthesis.

Seit ca. 40 Jahren werden Gefäßprothesen routinemäßig implantiert. Im Jahr 1952 wurden die ersten, handgenähten Gefäßprothesen aus dem zur Fallschirmfabrikation verwendeten Material Vinyon "N" erfolgreich als abdominaler Aortenersatz bei Hunden und Menschen eingesetzt. Diese ersten Versuche waren der Startschuss für eine neue Ära in der Gefäßmedizin. Seit 1986 werden bei der Firma B. Braun Melsungen AG erfolgreich Gefäßprothesen in eigener Produktion hergestellt und vertrieben.
