Welcome to Adventure Dear Leaders, Parents and Scouts, Adventure awaits you at some of the finest Scout Camps in the country. The Daniel Webster Council takes great pride in our camping facilities and encourages Scouts and units to use our facilities to build and enhance their Scouting adventures. Over the past few years, our council has made significant investments and improvements in our properties and programs to insure we are providing a quality Scouting experience to the Scouts of New Hampshire. As you visit camp, you will certainly see these investments -- to our first class camping operations. Each of these facilities provide a unique Scouting experience from the first time Cub Scout camping with his family to the Boy Scout and Venturer looking for the next high adventure challenge. We hope you will take advantage of the many programs and activities we offer throughout our summer camping season and year-round program opportunities. If you have ideas or suggestions to help continue making our facilities and program the best in the Northeast, please feel free to contact us at
[email protected]. We look forward to seeing you at camp! Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Sincerely, Clayton Cole Chairman Council Outdoor Programs Committee

Order of the Arrow For more than 100 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well. Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting year-round and long-term resident camping, developing leaders, and providing cheerful service to others. OA service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich, support, and help to extend Scouting to America’s youth.
Mission
The mission of the Order of the Arrow is to fulfill its purpose as an integral part of the Boy Scouts of America through positive youth leadership under the guidance of selected capable adults.
About Passaconaway Lodge
The 75 year old Passaconway Lodge is a supporting organization of the Daniel Webster Council, made up of over 600 members across the State of NH. The Lodge holds several events throughout the year, primarily focused on having fun while providing service to the DWC! Among many other service projects, the Lodge provides several thousand hours of service to Hidden Valley, Camp Bell and Camp Carpenter every year.
Becoming a Member
Scouts are elected by their peers in their Troop. Every Boy Scout Troop in the Council is entitled to (and should have) an election every calendar year. To be eligible for election, the Scout must: have Scoutmaster approval, be at least 1st Class, and experienced 15 days and nights of Boy Scout camping during the prior two-year period. The 15 days and nights must include one, but no more than one, long-term camp consisting of six consecutive days and five nights of resident camping, approved and under the auspices and standards of the BSA. Once elected, the Scout is known as a Candidate. The Candidate experiences an induction process, called the Ordeal, which is the first step toward full membership in the Order. Upon completion of the Ordeal and its ceremony, the member is expected to strengthen his involvement in the unit and encourage Scout camping.
