A note about video file formats and Mahara Mahara can only display .mp3 (audio), .mp4 (video) and .flv (flash video/audio) files. Information from Mahara: Unfortunately, .avi, .mkv, .m4v, .wma, .wmv, .wlmp, .imovieproject and .mov files aren’t very compatible with Mahara ePortfolio. You CAN convert them though. Here are three methods (for both Windows and Mac) you can use: 

iMovie (Mac) This document explains how to use iMovie and QuickTime (latest version) to convert your video to a compatible type.

Windows Movie Maker (formerly Windows Live Movie Maker)(Windows) This document explains how to use Windows Movie Maker (latest version) to convert your video to a compatible type.

MPEG Streamclip video converter (Mac and Windows) This document explains how to use MPEG Streamclip video converter to convert your video to a compatible type.

With ePortfolio, the earlier you start on it, the better it is for you.
