Number 31  This is a wheelchair accessible bungalow in Christchurch in  Dorset that sleeps up to 6 with one twin bedroom with a ceiling  hoist and bed raiser. The bathroom also contains a ceiling hoist  to the toilet and wheel­in shower. The kitchen has low level  surfaces and appliances. There is a second twin bedroom and a  double sofa bed in the lounge. In addition there is a sun room  and outside in the garden is a large accessible patio area.  Contact 01202 481597.  Website :­ www.31aha.co.uk

St. Annes Hotel  This hotel in St Annes by Sea near Blackpool caters for  everyone but has been specifically designed with people with  disabilities in mind. There are two ground floor bedrooms with  ceiling tracking hoists to the ensuite shower rooms. They are  also equipped for people with visual or hearing impairment. The  hotel facilities include an indoor hydrotherapy pool and sensory  room. As well as a café bar there is a restaurant (that can  provide for any dietary need) and lounge bar.  Contact :­ 01253 713108 website :­ www.st­annes­hotel.com 

Strode Park Holiday Bungalows  There are two wheelchair accessible self catering bungalows  each with two twin­bed rooms with tracked ceiling hoists  running to the shower room and toilet. They are situated in the  grounds of Strode Park House a mile from the seaside resort of  Herne Bay in Kent. Each bungalow also contains a fully  equipped living/dining/kitchen area and an outside patio with  table and chairs.  Contact :­ Strode Park House Tel: 01227 373292  www.strodepark.org.uk

Kingfisher Barn Holiday Cottages  There are six self catering cottages and lodges on the complex  all are suitable for wheelchair users but two have wispa ceiling  hoists. They are situated in Abingdon­ on­ Thames in  Oxfordshire.  Hazel Cottage sleeps 4 and the larger bedroom has a ceiling  hoist fitted as does the shower room. The hob and sink in the  fully fitted kitchen can be adjusted to allow a wheelchair to fit  underneath.  Stable Cottage sleeps 6 and the larger bedroom has an en­suite  shower room and a wispa ceiling hoist and tracking. As with the  other cottage the hob and sink in the kitchen can be adjusted for  wheelchair use. There is a private patio area and exclusive use  of the private swimming pool for one hour a day. Pets are  allowed with prior arrangement at a small extra cost. Short  breaks and bed and breakfast are also available.  Contact:­ Kingfisher Barns Tel: 01235 537538  www.kingfisherbarn.com
