GOALS & OBJECTIVES COURSE GOAL Participants will receive a comprehensive review of anatomy, pathology and pathophysiology of chronic non-malignant pain arising from the connective tissue of the Back, Pelvis, Lower Extremities and Foot and Ankle. • Perform an examination and an evaluation. • Explain why it is critical to formulate a diagnosis before treatment. • Explain various nutritional and hormonal disturbances interfering with proper healing. • Describe various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for correcting hormonal disturbances. • Determine some rehabilitation strategies for treating chronic non-malignant pain. • Assess several injection solutions for treating the Back, Pelvis, Lower Extremities and Foot and Ankle. • Assess several injection techniques treating the Back, Pelvis, Lower Extremities and Foot and Ankle. • Assess several injection therapies; Prolotherapy, PRP, Neural Therapy, for treating the Back, Pelvis, Lower Extremities and Foot and Ankle. • Perform some hands-on manipulative techniques for the Back, Pelvis, Lower Extremities and Foot and Ankle. • Propose how various injections can be integrated into various treatment protocols to enhance proper healing and affect chronic pain conditions. • Determine appropriate injection needle placement for several situations. • Determine appropriate injection needle placement for several situations using diagnostic ultrasound. • Describe various research studies and findings concerning Restorative Injection Therapies • Demonstrate needle placement for several situations using fluoroscopy. • Perform several hands-on diagnostic techniques. • Determine various diagnoses using diagnostic ultrasound.
