A message from the Mayor .... Welcome to this year’s programme for Penryn Week. We have lined up many events for us all to enjoy again this year. Much work has been done behind the scenes by our Penryn Week Committee to facilitate these events and we hope as many residents as possible take the opportunity to attend or take part in our programme. As you may already know our town is 800 years old this year so it is a very special time for us all to enjoy and celebrate. Please get involved if you can, especially with the Carnival. We also have changed our usual Sunday service on the quay. Instead, this year we are having a parade from the Town Hall to St Gluvias Church for a special 800 year Penryn Thanksgiving Service and the Church will be full of flowers as we have timed it to coincide with their Flower Festival. All are welcome.
