MADE IN THE USA Harden Furniture is the oldest family-owned and operated furniture manufacturer in the US. Since 1844, Harden has been producing fine furniture in its Central New York facilities.

FORESTRY

PHELPS A crisp, clean finish with a minimal amount of color added for a more contemporary look.

Harden owns thousands of acres of forested land in New York State and is able to maintain an ample native hardwood supply without compromising natural resources. By working toward and achieving SFI® certification, Harden has proven its commitment to the environment and responsible forestry practices.

CRAFTSMANSHIP The hallmark of all Harden Furniture is craftsmanship. From initial panel-matching to final inspection, the attention to detail, by a family of highly-trained craftspeople guarantees the exceptional quality that Harden is known for. Such trademark features are as follows: • Color / grain matching of all wood panels MORAVIAN The natural breauty and exceptional figuring of quarter-sawn oak is accentuated in this classic medium tone finish.

Since 1844, Harden Furniture has combined a dedication to craftsmanship with a responsible approach to the environment. By practicing responsible long-term forestry, Harden is able to maintain a healthy reserve of raw materials while supporting recreation, habitat and wildlife diversity. As a result of these efforts, Harden Furniture has ­become the first major furniture manufacturer to obtain certification by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) program.     In addition to forestry preservation, Harden has been active in other environmentally sensitive areas. The use of ozone depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in the manufacturing of upholstery foams is one of the key issues currently challenging the furniture industry. Despite the added expense, Harden responds to this concern by using only foams produced with “ozone‑friendly” materials.     At Harden, the environment is not a new issue. It’s been part of our thinking for generations, and is part of the legacy that we leave future generations.
