Activity platform: Be your own brand The key to advancement in a phase of professional orientation is developing yourself as a ‘brand’. Being clear about all aspects of yourself as a person is an essential prerequisite to a successful career path. On the basis of a short questionnaire, experienced consultants will help you to formulate your own ‘brand’. Appointments can be made from 21 September onwards. Campus & Career Programme Campus & Career Forum (Pavilion 33) The Campus & Career rostrum programme offers a wide range of lectures and discussions every day, covering various education and training opportunities as well as innovative educational courses in agriculture and agricultural engineering, the do’s and don’ts in job interviews, tips and techniques for a healthy back at work, an effective burnout prevention strategy as well as an exploration of how to be your own brand. There really is something for everyone. Among the highlights are the one-hour panel discussions that take place between 13:00 and 14:00 h on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Turn up to hear current topics such as managing social networks, employer branding or career opportunities in agribusiness. The programme is constantly being updated and will appear under the Technical Programme tab on the Agritechnica website at the start of September. Please note: The lectures and discussions will be mostly held in German.

Red Sofa (Pavilion 35) 14 high-ranking representatives from agriculture and agricultural technology will once again be sitting on the ‘Red Sofa’. Top managers from AGCO, AGRAVIS, CNH and various other international and medium-sized enterprises and organizations from the agricultural sector have already accepted the invitation. The 15-minute interviews explore issues such as what employers expect from university graduates, examine prospects for beginners and offer tips for a career in agricultural engineering.

Agritech Future Information Day for secondary school students: If you are interested in multifaceted challenges and in having fun with technology, people and nature, you will be right at home here. Agritech Future is an information day organized by VDMA (the German Engineering Federation) which features fascinating machines, opens up inspiring contacts and provides a lot of helpful information. It takes place in the Convention Center on 13 November and runs from 10:00 to 15:30 h. For more information, visit www.talentmaschine.de/landtechnik. Employees Day – Further training as a way to exploit your potential: The theme chosen for the Ninth Arbeitnehmertag (Employees Day) organized by the Lower Saxony Chamber of Commerce on Thursday 12 November is ‘Career: Knowledge. Personality. Skills. Further training as a way to exploit your potential’. The approximately three-hour-long event will commence at 9:00 h in Hall 1 of the Convention Center (CC). It is aimed at industry newcomers, students, employees and employers in the agricultural sector and at consultants working for the employment services.
