9 Easy and Basic Ways To Make Money On Craigslist!

If you are like most people in the world, you probably are never happy with the amount of money that you have. I know people say that money is the root of all evil, but I don’t believe that. I do believe that what people do with money can be the root of all evil, but who would not like to enjoy a few extra bucks in their pockets.

Craigslist is a great way to make extra money. It is one of the most viewed websites on the internet and you can reach hundreds to thousands of people in a very short time. And contrary to what some people believe, you don’t have to sell all of your stuff to make money on Craigslist. There are many different ways to make money using Craigslist. Here are 9 simple and basic ways you can make money using Craigslist:

1. Gigs a. If you already have a 9-5 job and you are not really looking for another full time job, but want something to supplement your income, Gigs is the place for you. Gigs is the place where people post who have odd, one time jobs. Craigslist breaks it down into computer, event, creative, crew, domestic, writing,

labor, talent and adult. Chances are, you have something to offer in one, if not a few of these categories. The nice thing about the gigs is that they are NOT jobs, so you can take them on your terms. If someone posts a certain price, you have the room to negotiate because YOU are doing the work and don’t have to take anything less that what you think you deserve. 2. Jobs a. Of course this is a great way to make money, if you are looking for a full time/part time job. If you aren’t, you still should check out the ETC area of the Part Time area. Sometimes you find someone who meant to post something under a gig, but didn’t really know what they were doing so they posted it as a job. Lucky for you there is less competition because more people are looking under the GIGS sections. 3. Community a. Community is a great place to get involved. You can find variety of different products and services set up in this section. This is more like a forum board that anything else. My wife finds all of her babysitting jobs on this sections. That is a great way to make extra money!

4. For Sale: a. This is a another great places for a few reasons: 1) if you have stuff around your house that you have not touched in years, chances are you will NOT touch it for years ahead. So why not sell it? Selling on craigslist is easy and the best part is, there is no waiting for checks to clear, or payment to be sumbitted. It is instant cash into your hands. It is about as instant cash as you can get. 5. FREE!! a. There is a whole section on Craigslist dedicate for people who are giving things away for FREE. I love this section because you don't pay for the items : ). Most of the items you will find on this section are pretty much worthless to you, unless you need Dirt or Firewood. But occasionally you will come across a near new piece of furniture, or something that you can actually use. Also, think outside the box. If you can sew, or do wood working, or any thing else, some of the "bad" items can easily be turned into a beautiful piece of art. Also, this is a great place to get FREE product to resell! I have seen it time and time again: People say they have stuff they want to sell, but it is "just easier" to throw it away. I see that as people are throwing away money. When you here this, why not make money for you, and them. Tell them you will sell their stuff, and you will keep a commision. Easy money if you ask me. Sell an old bike for $100, and at 30% commisions, that is an easy $30 in your pocket and your friend makes $70. Have a really good friend? Split the profit 50/50. That is more money in your pocket and your friend makes money and gets rid of the junk. That is a great business relationship if you ask me! 7. CARS! a. This is a great way to make $BIG$ money, but it also requires more start up cost, which may not be feasible for some. But if you have the cash (even $500) you can start flipping cars. This one is especially great if you have a little mechanic experience. People are always giving up on cars either because they broke, they are moving away, or they just upgraded. You can score

some cheap cars, give them a good shining, maybe a few upgrades and turn around and sell it for more money, making a bigger profit. One of my really good friends does this part time and makes some GREAT extra money. He once bought a '93 dodge truck for $500 that "needed new brakes". After a quick $100 brake job (total cost: $600) he sold the car for $1500. He made almost $1000 is 24 hours. That is GREAT money I don't care what stage of life you are in. 8. Services! a. As the title says, this is where you can post what services you have to offer people. This basically is starting your own consulting business. And don't sit there and tell me you have nothing to consult about. Everyone is an expert on something. My dad has been in the concrete business for YEARS! He knows way too much than should be legally allowed to know about concrete. I talked him into posting a consulting ad on craigslist. The beauty is if someone requests your services and the job sounds too hard, you can say NO. He only takes easy jobs, charges a flat fee and will come out to your house or job and tell you everything you want to know about concrete

(angles, drying time, compression, you name it, he knows it). He says it is the easiest money he ever runs. I post ads for a fitness consultant. I get TONS of hits of people want custom workout routines, ergonomic help, nutrition plans, or just a second opinion. Depending on what they want, I just charge a flat fee and do the work. I love the ability to only take the jobs I want. I don't want the job or don't want to work, I don't. If I want to work or make a few extra bucks, I take a job. Easy money. 9. Renting Services/Houses a. This is very similar to being a broker. There are HUNDREDS of people trying to find a place to rent, or buy a house, and even more people trying to rent their house or sell their house. Connect the two! This missing link in this process is a human connection. Be that connection. Go on the "FOR RENT" section and send houses to people looking for a rent. But here is the key because no one wants to work for free: Contact the person trying to rent/sell their house and work out a flat rate/commision deal if you send leads their way. Most of the time people are willing to do this. I tried this awhile back: I

charged a flat fee (I love charging flat fees, no math!) of $100 if I found a renter for the person trying to rent. Now to them, $100 is nothing for something paying a chunk to them each and every month. But for me, copying and pasting a link of a place that is for rent is an easy $100 in my pocket.
