Welcome to Mürren Invitation to FIS Telemark World Cup 2015 from march 9 2015 to march 15, 2015 Mürren and the Schilthorn welcome you to the FIS Telemark World Cup in Mürren, Switzerland. We are looking forward to host this year’s World Cup in Switzerland General Information Chocolate box village with a breath taking mountain view, without noise and traffic. This authentic, traffic free and stress less mountain village will leave an unforgettable image in your memory. The sundried chalets, the breath taking view of the alpine range covered with snow and the friendly people welcome you for a relaxing holiday or an adventurous weekend. How to get Here Mürren is a car free resort with some local traffic only. The mountain village is situated on a sunny terrace opposite the mighty peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The highest village of the Bernese Oberland (altitude 1670 m above sea level) can be reached from Lauterbrunnen by cable car and train with BLM or from Stechelberg by cable car with Schilthornbahn LSMS In Mürren everything can be reached within walking distance. If you have a lot of luggage there are two transport companies (Stäger Transporte Tel. +41 33 855 24 80 and Feuz Transporte +41 79 656 18 84) Arriving by train or bus There are international train connections to and from all neighbouring countries which will bring you into Interlaken Ost and from there by regional train or bus (late evening) to Lauterbrunnen. From there you board the cable car to Grütschalp and change into the train to Mürren. Your luggage travels with you directly to Mürren (latest departure cable car at 8.31 pm). From Lauterbrunnen you may also take the yellow postbus to Stechelberg, where you board the Schilthornbahn cable way to Mürren (latest cable car at 11.45 pm). Each train from and to Mürren has connections with the train from and to Lauterbrunnen. Timetable of all trains and postbuses you will find on www.sbb.ch The reliable Swiss railway system offers you a luggage transfer from the airport, flyrail and special arrangements for tickets like the Swiss pass or the Swiss transfer ticket. More information you find on www.swisstravelsystem.ch. Arriving in Mürren by car You arrive on the Swiss highways in Interlaken and take the exit Wilderswil direction to Lauterbrunnen. There is a covered car park, linked with the BLM cable car station. If you stay for a minimum of 7 nights you can reserve a place in the car park over internet parking reservation. You may also drive to the Schilthornbahn station in Stechelberg where you find a large number of parking spaces. During the day, you load your luggage in a blue trolley and it will be taken up to Mürren in a separate transport cable car. Arriving at night you take your luggage with you in the cable car. The elevator for the luggage can be found underneath the cable car.

! Arriving in Switzerland by airplane If you travel to Switzerland by air you arrive in one of the international airports Geneva or Zurich, European flights also land in Basel or Bern-Belp. Every Swiss airport has is connected by public transport, bus or train. Connections and time table can be found on www.sbb.ch Distance from the airports: • • • •
