Luisne

Francis Noel Duffy’s exhibition of paintings to celebrate the women who participated in the 1916 Rising. The women depicted in the paintings were incarcerated during the Irish civil war in Kilmainham Gaol for their anti-treaty beliefs and perceived threat to the Irish government of the time.

Féile Cluichí Sráide The grounds of the Holy Faith Convent and St. Brigid’s school will be thronged with children (of all ages) playing street games, run by KAPS – Kilcoole Area Play Space, with kind assistance from Kilcoole Youth Project. A competition was recently launched in the village and is accompanied by a booklet Naoi Déag Sé Déag. The final 7 teams will be judged during the event.

Kilcoole Primary School Choir Colaiste Chraobh Abhainn Secondary School Reading of the proclamation Kilcoole Youth Project remembers the youth of 1916 by playing music close to the era of 1916. This will include bodhran’s, tin whistle and singing.
