Roulette & Our Neighborhood Roulette is thrilled to be part of a thriving downtown Brooklyn arts community! Situated on the ground floor of a historic building in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, the renovated Art Deco interiors of Roulette provide a unique and elegant setting for weddings, conferences, corporate affairs, still photography and film shoots, as well as a host of other private events. Roulette’s Brooklyn outpost was envisioned with maximum flexibility, and therefore, its spaces easily transform from an experimental listening theater into an ideal venue for entertainment and enjoyment. It provides a stunning aerial viewpoint for photography, a respite for event guests and additional seating for performances. Roulette’s lobby, distinctly curved to match the curve of the stage, spans the entire width of the theatre, 58ft. This space is intended to be a listening lounge, so it is equip with its own audio amplification. There is ample room for a cocktail reception, box office, information booth and greeting station. The lobby is outfitted with our multi-stalled restrooms and water fountains.

Frequently Asked Questions Are there restrictions on vendors and décor? Feel free to use the space as your blank slate — we simply ask you respect our theatre and don’t leave your mark! Please keep us informed about the vendors you intend to use and we are always happy to offer our preferred vendors and reliable staff to work your event. When can I arrange for rented items to be dropped off for my event? Because of extremely limited storage space and because we may often have another event immediately following yours, we need to ensure that all items & rentals for the event arrive and are picked up during your designated event hours. Would I need to provide insurance or permits to rent Roulette? Yes, Roulette requires that all rental events carry general liability insurance, and there is the potential to purchase insurance through Roulette’s carrier. In most cases, your catering agency would be responsible for providing insurance, liability and/or permits but feel free to contact Roulette with any questions. Is there parking available? Roulette does not have a parking lot; however, there are numerous public parking lots nearby that we can recommend. Why is there an amplified music curfew? Roulette is housed on the ground floor of a residential building and therefore, we respect our neighbors by concluding all amplified music by 12am Monday-Saturday and 11pm on Sundays. Who is responsible for cleaning the space? It is the Renter’s responsibility to restore the theatre to it’s original state including removing all decorations, rentals, and leaving all areas in a “broom clean” condition. Are you wheelchair accessible? We are ADA compliant with a handicapped entrance and restrooms located in the ground floor lobby. What is your deposit & cancelation policy? We require a non-refunable desposit of 25% to secure the date for your event. Balance of contract is due on the day of your event. Will my event be promoted? The Renter is fully responsible for all press and marketing outreach, but we would be happy to add a promotional listing on the main page of Roulette’s website under “Community Events.” This can consist of a description, photos, sound and video clips.
