How we understand BIM. BIM is defined as a digital representation of the building process to improve the exchange of information between the participants. The foundation of Building Information Modeling is to create a virtual building, which simulates the construction process. Therefore BIM helps to solve problems that may rise during the proces. BIM allows the simulation and analysis of the potential effects of the design decisions.

What is BIM?

Virtual model of the building Fully detailed model - geometry, topology, technical, technological, economic, etc. Interoperability - Exchange models between systems and industries IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) Standardization - classifications, procedures, contracts

IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) - Integration of the investment process International Framework Dictionary (IFD Library) OmniClass - classification of building elements IT support for the entire lifecycle of the building
