From the director: The calling of a missionary is a special calling. One doesn’t just decide to quit their job, sell their possessions, and tell family and friends goodbye just to take an extended vacation in Argentina, or Kabankalan! The call—and it is a calling—to be a missionary is different than any other ministry. The sacrifices made by the missionary and his family are different than any other ministry family. The missionary is not only dependent on God to anoint their labors and direct their steps in the right direction among the strange cultures and religions of the people to whom the Lord has sent him; but they are also dependent on a “family”

that supports them in prayer and financial assistance to enable them to stay in that distant foreign field. We, as the World Missions Department of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ, are greatly blessed to be witness to a tremendous increase in the number of missionaries now preaching this gospel around the world. It is because of your faithful and consistent support they are able to stay in their field of labor. God will greatly bless you for your prayerful and financial support of these missionaries. Surely there will be a great harvest tomorrow from the fields in which these missionaries are laboring. What a privilege it will be to join them in the air on our way to meet the Lord. Together, we are making a difference! —Bishop M.L. Walls

Africa: The ALJC All-Africa Apostolic Conference was held March 30-April 3, 2016. 857 churches were represented by the eight bishops present from seven different African countries at this inaugural event. These bishops represented around 58,000 constituents, and during the event 25 were baptized in Jesus’ name, and 15 or more received the gift of the Holy Ghost! In 2017 the All-Africa Apostolic Conference will also be a crusade and Women’s Esprit Conference combined. On April 5-9, Women’s Esprit National Director Karen Rhinehart and her staff will join Bishop Walls and myself in the country of Kenya. Bishop Domnic Ochoo will be our host. During the mornings and afternoons there will be services focused

on the African ladies, as well as sessions for ministers and aspiring ministers. During the evening services, we will have an “AllAfrica Crusade” to push for Spirit and water baptisms. I am also very excited about the recent appointment of two non-resident missionaries to East Africa: Missionary Scott Grimh, who will base out of Kenya; and our missionary to Norway, Sam Speer, who will base out of Uganda. Both of these men already have many churches in several African countries that have been converted due to their ministries. We welcome them both with love, prayers, and financial support. In the very near future we will launch our new website, ajlcafrica.com. This site will be updated with all the great reports from the many Apostolic churches and conferences in Africa.

Asia-Pacific: The size and population of the Asia-Pacific Region is difficult to fathom. There are approximately 2.5 billion people in this part of the world, equaling almost onethird of the world’s population. When considering the size of this region, and how few Apostolic churches are in this area, the task at hand is overwhelming. The enormity of the field, however, also provides incredible opportunity. The fields are truly white and ready to harvest. People in this area of the world are open and receptive to the message of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest” (Matthew 9:38). We need missionaries right now in Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam, China and many other nations of the region. Doors are opening right now in these areas. The harvest is plenteous but the laborers are few.

At the General Board Meetings in Memphis in October of 2015, we launched the “1,000 Leader Initiative,” which is a vision to train 1,000 leaders within the Asia-Pacific Region over the next few years. We have already begun systematic leadership and ministry training in the fields of this region. We’re convinced that training local leaders in our ALJC mission fields is a key to growth and revival.

Upcoming Events The Philippine General Conference in Bacolod City, Philippines will be held October 29-31, 2016. Our annual General Conference is always a blessing to the pastors and saints in our ALJC works in the Philippines. Please continue to pray for the works in the Asia-Pacific Region. I believe the growth we’ve seen in the last few years is only the beginning of a sweeping Apostolic revival in this region.

Europe: The European Region is comprised of Bulgaria, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Russia, the Baltic Nations, and very soon Italy. This region is one of the most densely packed with missionary teams in the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ. While Europe is a fertile field in which to win souls, it is also one of the most difficult in which to work. With Great Britain’s exit from the European Union, economic crisis in Greece, the influx of refugees, and onslaught of terrorist activity in the last several years, westernized Europe is seeing some of its most challenging times in recent decades. But God… Weekly reports from all over the region are coming in of souls getting baptized, entire families coming to the Apostolic faith, and

revival cropping up in areas that have never even been exposed to the Jesus’ Name message! Weekly reports from all over the region are coming in of souls getting baptized, entire families coming to the Apostolic faith, and revival cropping up in areas that have never been exposed to the Jesus’ Name message! Our teams are scheduled to convene in October for the 2016 European Missionary Retreat in Norway. The next big event for the Region will take place in November 2017 which will be our European Conference which is currently is slotted to take place in Krakow, Poland with our hosts being our missionary team to Poland, the Adams. Additionally, the precious ladies from the ALJC Womens Esprit were kind enough to fly in many of our missionary’s wives for their Conference in Gatlinburg, TN. This has been a tremendous blessing to our teams and will undoubtedly be a huge source of encouragement to them.

Latin-America: The combined population of this region exceeds 700 million people. We currently have ALJC missionary-sponsored works in six nations (Argentina, Cuba, Chile, Haiti, Mexico, and Venezuela), with extended works in several of the geographically connecting nations. Praise God for the many souls that have been brought into the kingdom through the faithful prayers and financial support of the pastors and churches of our organization, the diligent efforts of the World Missions Department, and our appointed missionary teams and national leadership in these nations. In 2016 we visited Haiti and Cuba for Ministry Training Conferences, in addition to holding our very first official Medical Missions trip in Haiti, where the Haiti National HQ Building is nearing 50% completion. We also attended

the Chilean & Southern Mexico National Conventions.

Upcoming Events & Goals We have plans in 2017 to visit Sis. Hickman’s work in Mexico, as well as Argentina, Venezuela and Haiti. We hope to aid in launching the building of a Christian school in Mexico. The Apostolic Crusaders will be receiving an offering during National Youth Convention 2016 that should allow us to finish the National Headquarters building program in Haiti and launch a Ministry Training Program for future church planters. A medical missions team lead by a physician from Faith Apostolic Church in Carmel, Indiana, Dr. Bose, plans to return to Haiti in 2017. The first trip was very successful, with lines of men, women, and children waiting in line for hours to receive medical attention, allowing ministry teams to tend to their spiritual condition as they waited.

We have the Gospel in Lebanon! several students who have already signed in Our headquarters, in the capital of Beirut, Lebanon, consists of converts not only from Lebanon, but also Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Armenia, Egypt, and Belarus! Most of these are countries that have completely closed their doors to the Gospel! Some have found us online and traveled to Lebanon to be baptized in Jesus’ name, and have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost! We thank the Lord for strategically positioning us in the heart of the Middle East and giving us this great opportunity! We have been blessed to have more Muslims coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ! Jesus continues to deal with them through dreams and visions, and is bringing them to the church to be baptized and receive the Word.

and are ready to learn and be established in the Truth. We know the course our students will take will give them a strong foundation in doctrine and church ministry. Our vision is to train nationals and equip them to plant churches throughout this region. “Ministry Among Arabic Nations” (MAAN) is a dream come to pass for us in the Middle East! It’s been on our hearts for years to publish and print Apostolic literature in the Arabic language, but we lacked the help and the resources. However, the Lord has enabled us to start maanpublishing.com with an Apostolic library out of our church in Beirut, where Apostolic books are available online or in hard copies!

South Asia: God is doing great things in the South Asia Region! The churches in India are doing well by God’s grace. We have recently started new construction on a church plant in the state of Karnataka. Under the direction of Paul and Beverly Moorefield, this church and its pastor have begun a great work! Between India and Nepal, the Moorefield family have seen literally hundreds receive the Holy Ghost in the last calendar year! The Moorefields were also fortunate to be invited to help with the work in Lebanon while Brother Toufic Azar and family were in the U.S. on deputation. We are so excited to report that in January we started our second Bible college named Abundant Life Theological College in the capitol city of New Delhi. This new college was under the direction of Randy Watts and Lowell Snow. The first year of this co-ed institution (our first) was a great success. Previously we

have only been able to house young men. We will continue this institution for its second year in January of 2017. The work of God in the country of Myanmar is also growing by leaps and bounds. Pastor Tuan Lian has been instrumental in seeing church plants and new people baptized in Jesus’ name! Without fear, Pastor Lian has preached the gospel especially among the Trinitarians. He has planted several churches and reports of scores being baptized in Jesus’ name in the past several months. The South Asia Region has a population of well over 1.8 billion souls. There is a great need in this region for continued spiritual and financial support. Moreover, there is a great need for others to follow the calling of God to this region as there are still many areas that have no mission stations established. Thank you for your faithfulness to His Kingdom!

2017 Vision: Jesus In an anti-Christ world we want to make our entire lives about Jesus Christ. We do not want Jesus just to be the center of our students’ lives, but we want Jesus to be everything in their lives. We want every Apostolic Crusader to wake up thinking about Jesus, go on their campus thinking about Jesus, and making their life ambitions all about Jesus. We are the people of HIS name! We want HIS passion and HIS Kingdom to live through us on a daily basis.

Souls Our Crusaders will be challenged this year to be soul-winners, going to their communities with the lifesaving Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Apostolic Crusaders will be challenged to start P7 Clubs at their middle and high school campuses. We will challenge them to teach Bible studies on the new birth experience, attend an AYC USA mission, and to fulfill their call to go to the uttermost parts of the earth through international mission trips. The bottom line is that Jesus is coming back and we have to GO win souls with everything we have got!

Giving We will challenge our students to give their 10 percent tithe back to their congregation at home, and then inspire them to start giving to Overflow like never before. Overflow is our National Youth Department offering that helps us bring the gospel to the entire world. Our shift in giving more to Missions at home and abroad will make for an easy transition for our students to give to the Missions America and World Missions department as they grow older. Please help support Overflow and giving to the youth department within your district.

Moving forward, we will utilize National Youth Convention to train, equip, and recruit new Bible Quizzing teams. This year, rather than hosting an “NYC Invitational Quiz,” we will give away two starter kits to new churches who attend BQ training sessions to be held each morning. These sessions will be led by our National Bible Quizzing Director, Ronda Lloyd. Our National Tournament will again be held at GMC in Knoxville in 2017.

Campus Ministry International (CMI) was formed to enable and encourage local churches to effectively reach out to the college and university students in their vicinities with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is done by a variety of means, including motivating Districts and churches to establish and maintain campus evangelism, providing materials and training to aid in the formation of these campus ministries, acting as a clearinghouse for the gathering and distribution of new information, ideas, and materials, and establishing communication and cooperation between campus ministries in our fellowship. This ministry is the newest partnership between the Apostolic Crusaders and the United Pentecostal Church to reach students with the gospel. Through CMI, opportunities exist to turn college campuses into thriving missions fields, as well as opening up possibilities for those called to fulltime campus ministry.

Our focus in 2017: The vision for the Evangelists Department in 2017 is to see an increase in revival efforts in Missions America churches, as well as internationally. Our goal is to provide 10 Missions America/Adopta-City churches with an ALJC evangelist for an extended revival at no cost to the local assembly. This will provide these home missions works with up to a week of singing, preaching, and outreach ministry to reach and evangelize their communities. Additionally, the department hopes to bless three missionaries with an evangelist throughout the course of 2017 to assist with outreach and continue efforts to partner missionaries with state-side evangelists who can help promote their worthy cause.

America is the Mission: “Training and equipping America’s pastoral teams to win lost souls to the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. Missions America is that America is the Mission.” This is the vision for the mission. The mission is accomplished by engaging in equipping, training, and support. The catalyst of the mission is found in the first chapter of John’s Gospel, which says, “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.” We can do nothing without first receiving that divine calling, but once the call has been given we must do all to pursue the call.

Church Planting

Church planting is at the heart of our continuing mission to evangelize America’s 322 million souls with the saving gospel and, from that planting, grow thriving churches as a beacon of hope in this dark world of sin. We have seen a heightened awareness and great increase in planting churches

all across our movement. Someone once said, “there shouldn’t be any one sinner hear two sermons until every sinner has heard one sermon, and there shouldn’t be any one city with two churches until every city has one church.” We must do all we can to plant a church in every city, town, borough, and village across America. Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.” It is often a misconception that America is full of churches preaching truth, as there are so many places across our nation that has no truth-church whatsoever.

Church Growth

Church growth is the second arm of Missions America. Through the medium of the Apostolic Witness; monthly mailouts; and the production of literature, both printed and digital; this ministry’s drive is to equip, train, and support the local church to grow their ministry spiritually and numerically.

Calvary’s Heartbeat

Calvary’s Heartbeat Conference is a feature ministry. The conference is typically conducted on a Friday Evening and Saturday Morning, packed full of inspiration and information, motivating and teaching church staff how to grow the local church and evangelize their communities.

Prisoner’s Friend

Prisoner’s Friend is yet another ministry arm of Missions America reaching out to America’s incarcerated. These are lost souls that need the message of the saving grace of God as much as any other. There are two branches of this ministry, the first being a correspondence Bible study course. This ministry has exploded from under 100 to nearly 400. The curriculum is “Home Bible Studies 101” with 26 lessons from Genesis to Revelation. We get reports all the time of how God is using this ministry to lead prisoners to salvation. The second branch of Prisoner’s Friend is the chaplains program. There are licensed Prisoners Friend chaplains all across the nation, from coast to coast who go weekly into America’s prisons ministering the Word of God. The testimony of what God is doing for the incarcerated is amazing, with literally hundreds of prisoners being born again every single year.

Hispanic Ministry

Hispanic Ministry is a branch of Missions America focused on evangelizing the Hispanic communities of America through

three avenues. First, training Hispanic ministers to be evangelists, pastors, and teachers to the Hispanic community. Secondly, working with English speaking congregations to establish Hispanic ministries in their churches; and, thirdly, reaching out to Oneness Apostolic Hispanic works already established but not yet connected to a greater fellowship.

Get involved

What can I do to support Missions America? First of all pray. Pray for all the branch ministries of Missions America. Secondly, pursue the calling personally to be a part of this end time revival. Get involved in your local church supporting your pastor. Thirdly, prayerfully consider what you can do to support Missions America efforts financially on a monthly basis. All these ministries need your continued heart of giving. America is in a greater need for revival today than it has been in its entire 230-year history. We must do all we can to reach our homeland. Missions America is that “America Is The Mission.”

In 2010, with a burden on their heart to work in church planting, the Click family began a small Bible study group in their home in Warren, Ohio. They had five people in their first service. Services were originally held in a family room next to their garage. Outgrowing the family room, Pastor Click and his family remodeled their two-bay garage into a sanctuary that could seat 40 people. The family room was turned into a Sunday school and fellowship room. The church body held services in the garage about the space of three years. During that time, they were seeking the will of God for the church building location, and also saving money for a down payment. The church also purchased an eight-foot water trough for baptisms and later bought a portable baptismal tank. Tabatha Click, their daughter, played the piano while Sister Click led the worship. Both daughter and mother sang in the services using a small Peavey guitar amp for their sound system. With a growing church

plant holding services in a residential area, the Clicks were blessed to have no complaints from neighbors as the growing church attendance caused the road to be crowded (and some loud, Pentecostal praise arose from their worship). They were actually able to reach out to many neighborhood families and the community kids. The first year, this new church plant baptized over 100 people in Jesus’ name! They experienced many miracles and healings. On one occasion, a Muslim was converted and, on another, an atheist. When the church reached 80% capacity on a regular basis and ran out of parking spaces, they realized they needed a bigger facility to accommodate the growth. Pastor Click says the most effective means of outreach for them was Home Bible Studies. The Click family also engaged in prison ministry, street outreach, and nursing home ministry. The church started a prayer chain with fasting for direction on a new location for the growing congregation. They held a special church service to seek for divine guidance. A couple weeks after the service, Pastor Click found the building and property that would be their future. In the move itself, the church lost 50% of the congregation, discovering everybody was not as deeply committed. The remainder of the people were excited and adjusted well. When the church purchased the new property, the sanctuary had been completely emptied. The Lord supplied their needs through various avenues. They had pews stored ahead of time in the garage of a

THE FIRST YEAR, THIS NEW CHURCH PLANT BAPTIZED OVER 100 PEOPLE IN JESUS’ NAME! stranger from a non-denominational church who heard they were looking for a building. Owner financing on a loan was approved, and a church member personally donated a plow truck, two large riding mowers, and other expensive items needed. Donations came in from members to purchase shingles to help replace the roof, and someone that does not attend the church loaned a dump truck to assist the work. While contemplating the cost of disposal on the old shingles, a man pulled up and said he owned a dump site and the church could dispose of them for free. The Ohio District collected $2,500 to help finish the remaining 23 squares of shingles needed. A church member that worked a minimum-wage parttime job donated thousands to remodel the fellowship hall and foyer out of her own life savings. As if all that wasn’t enough, the church had two large HVAC units and two large AC units replaced, and all while the majority of the congregation exists on low or fixed incomes. Pastor Click says, “Being in the Adopt-a-City program has benefited us in the prayers received from the leadership, the financial support to help cover the costs, having special ministers in the church services, the fellowship of the leaders, encouragement from the Missions America leaders, and a special donation to help purchase baptismal robes and a cordless microphone in the early days of the church.” New Life Tabernacle is progressively growing in the lives of families. They are establishing a foothold in the area, and developing saints while tearing down strongholds of the enemy. Continue to pray for the Click family and the congregation of New Life Tabernacle. 37
