2017 CENTRAL PACIFIC REGIONAL FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS GENERAL INFORMATION The 2017 Central Pacific Regional Figure Skating Championships will be held October 5-9, 2016 at the Weber County Ice Sheet located at 4390 Harrison Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84403 The championships are sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating and hosted by the Wasatch Figure Skating Club. The entry deadline for the 2017 Central Pacific Regional Figure Skating Championships is 11:59p.m., September 1, 2016. NO EXCEPTIONS. REGISTRATION ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED AT WWW.USFSAONLINE.ORG. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS THE ONLY METHOD AVAILABLE FOR ENTRY INTO THE 2017 QUALIFYING COMPETITION SEASON. For additional information, check out the competition website at the following link: WWW.CPREGIONALS.COM After the close of entries, September 1, 2016, there will be absolutely no entry fee refunds, unless an event is canceled. There will be no refunds for practice ice unless the event is canceled or a session is not assigned. There will be no refunds for added credentials, tickets or programs, unless the athlete’s event is canceled. ARENA INFORMATION WEBER COUNTY ICE SHEET 4390 Harrison Boulevard Ogden, Utah 84403 Phone: 801-778-6360 Website: www.webercountyutah.gov/icesheet The Weber County Ice Sheet has two ice surfaces – Olympic Size Rink measuring 100’ x 200’and NHL Rink measuring 80’ x 200’. The main competition venue has seating for 2,400 and the secondary rink has a seating capacity of 150. There are a total of 8 dressing rooms available. Concessions will be available during the event. Parking is free and abundant. Hotels are within 15 minutes of the Ice Rink. Several eating establishments, such as Starbucks, are a short distance (some within walking distance) from the rink.

REGISTRATION The registration desk will be open beginning Wednesday, October 5, 2016 through Sunday, October 9, 2016 one hour before practice and competition begins. The registration desk will be located in the front lobby area. All skaters are expected to be in the arena one hour prior to the start of their scheduled event. BULLETIN AND NOTICES The official bulletin board will be located in the main lobby next to registration desk. The official schedule of events will be posted on the official bulletin board and will supersede all other schedules. It is the responsibility of each participating competitor and coach to check the official bulletin board for all official information. Notices posted here are considered sufficient notice to all teams. All participants must check the official board frequently. AWARDS Medals will be presented to athletes in first through fourth place in each qualifying and championship round. Trophies will be awarded to the champion in each championship event. Awards will be presented at times designated for each event on the official bulletin board. ADMISSION Entrance to the competition is by credential or ticket only and these are not transferable. Tickets may be pre-purchased using the Credential & Ticket Order form at a discount. See the table below for at the door ticket pricing. CREDENTIALS Each athlete will receive one (1) complimentary credential, one (1) chaperone credential and one (1) designated approved coach credential, provided the Credential Ticket and Order Form is submitted. The credentials are marked with the individual’s name and are non-transferable. You must have credentials to enter The Weber County Ice Sheet, the warm-up area and the locker rooms. Additional chaperone and coach credentials may be prepurchased using the Credential & Ticket Order Form for $35. At the time of registration, assuming music and Planned Program Content have both been uploaded, each competitor will receive their credential badges for themselves and their chaperone(s). The competitor’s coach will pick up their credential badge separately at check-in. A photo ID must be shown by all chaperones and coaches when the credential is picked up. BADGES are non-transferable! Badges must be worn at all times while at The Weber County Ice Sheet. Any lost badges will be replaced for an additional charge of $50 per badge. PHOTOGRAPHY Action photos as well as still awards photos will be available for purchase at the event. 

Please note: Flash photography of the competition, including practice ice, is strictly prohibited per U.S. Figure Skating policy. The flash may cause distraction leading to error or injury. Taking photos of any skater other than your own is prohibited without their express written consent, a copy of which must be provided to the host organization. VIDEOGRAPHY The U.S. Figure Skating Production Team will serve as the official video provider for all qualifying competitions this season. Please note: videotaping of the competition, including practice ice, in any form is strictly prohibited per U.S. Figure Skating policy.

SPECTATOR CONDUCT  The Weber County Ice Sheet is a non-smoking facility.  Any small gifts thrown on to the ice must be completely wrapped. NO flowers are to be thrown onto the ice at any time (even if wrapped).  Flash photography is not permitted at any time the competitors are on the ice, including the warm up and practice sessions.  Videotaping of the competition, including practice ice, in any form is strictly prohibited.  Spectators must turn off all audible tones on your electronic media devices.  Violation of any of the above rules may subject the offender to ejection from the arena. PROGRAM INFORMATION If you would you like your photo in the event program, email a photo to [email protected] no later than September 1, 2016. Photos should be a “yearbook style” headshot in JPEG format with a pixel resolution of at least 600 x400 pixels. The e-mail should include the skater’s name and event in the subject line. Photographs and media forms will be used for the program and publicity at the event. Submission of a competition entry automatically grants permission to use all accompanying information, including photographs, for publicizing these Championships. Programs may be pre-purchased at the cost of $20 per program on the Program Order Form. A very limited number of programs will be available for purchase at the door for $25 each. MERCHANDISE Event merchandise will be available for purchase at the venue and more information will be available on www.wasatchfigureskating.org. SCHEDULE / GROUPS A tentative schedule is provided in this announcement. This schedule is subject to change based on the number of entries. An updated schedule will be posted on the event website www.cpregionals.com as soon as possible following the close of entries. (Entries close on September 1, 2016).

ACCOMMODATIONS Please make your reservations early to ensure you have the necessary room(s). Hotel information may also be viewed on the event website www.cpregionals.com. A block of rooms has been reserved at both the Official Hotel and Secondary Hotel for the competition and all reservations must be made by September 5, 2016. TRANSPORTATION All competitors are responsible for their own transportation to the event and around the local area. Salt Lake International Airport is approximately 40 minutes from the competition venue. Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) 34.2 miles PRACTICE ICE The sale of practice ice for all regional and sectional championships will be handled by U.S. Figure Skating via “Members Only” at www.usfsaonline.org. The sale of practice ice is not available until AFTER the registration deadline closes on September 1, 2016. All registered competitors will receive an email directly from U.S. Figure Skating outlining the purchasing process for ALL practice ice segments in their respective regional. Please note: Practice ice is NOT included with your registration! Once purchased, there will be NO refunds or transfers of any practice ice sessions regardless of circumstance.

All skaters must register at the designated check in prior to skating any unofficial or official practice session. Skaters will not be permitted on their official practice ice sessions if they have not submitted their competition profile via member’s only. Further, an additional hard copy of the music must be submitted to the ice monitor, this copy will be returned immediately following the completion of the official practice ice session. Safety on any practice ice session is the responsibility of the skater. The size and makeup of practice ice groups is at the discretion of the Chief Referee and local organizing committee. Skaters are expected to follow usual rink etiquette. Coaching shall be from behind the side boards. Coaches are not permitted to be in the music box or on the official’s platform. Skaters who are not skating shall leave the ice surface to rest or converse. Only credentialed coaches and credentialed athletes will be permitted in the restricted areas with access to the ice.
