KVC Hero Luncheon HERO LUNCHEON

June 2016 500+ guests expected

Each June, KVC teams up with local sports celebrities like KU Coach Bill Self on behalf of children in foster care. The Hero Luncheon draws 500+ people to hear about the speakers’ unique experiences and get inspired about their own potential to be a hero for local children and teens. The luncheon highlights KVC Everyday Heroes, monthly giving partners who make a tremendous difference in the lives of children by meeting essential medical, psychological, and educational needs.

Monday / August 22, 2016 160 golfers expected The National Golf Club / Parkville, MO

Everyone wants a chance to golf at The National Golf Club in Parkville, MO. Kansas City’s own Tom Watson designed these 18 holes as his first-ever signature course. Twenty teams play during the morning flight, and twenty more teams play during the afternoon flight. Golfers enjoy 18 holes on this members only course, a golf cart, gifts and prizes, meals before and after flights, and a golf shirt.

The Gala is an upscale party in mid-November that combines gourmet food and drinks, live cooking and artist demonstrations, and unique auction and raffle opportunities to raise funds to enhance the lives of children in foster care and the families that support them. The 2015 KVC Gala featured entertainment from MoonDrop Circus, Atlantic Express and live painting demonstrations by local artists Allan Chow and Rebecca Pashia.
