2016 Leadership Summit

Hosted by the University of Arkansas—Fayetteville

WELCOME Dear Graduate and Professional Student Leaders. As both the Speaker of the Graduate Student Congress here at the University of Arkansas—Fayetteville, and Vice President of NAGPS, welcome to the University of Arkansas and the 2016 Leadership Summit! We are so very pleased to have you all join us here in Northwest Arkansas. We have planned with the idea of the “Art of Leadership” in mind. We recognize that leadership is not a one-size-fits-all proposition and that there are as many different leadership styles as there are leaders. Each of our sessions will focus on a different aspect of leadership and how you can apply that to your own situation and take what you’ve learned here back to your own campuses and continue the great work you’ve already started. Before this next semester is upon us, don’t forget to register for our fall Advocacy Summit and Legislative Action Days, September 10-13. This is truly a critical time to advocate for the issues that are important to you. Please consider joining us in Washington D.C. to make your voice heard. You can register here. Additionally we will hold our 30th Anniversary National Conference at Stony Brook University, November 3-6. Save the date and look for more information soon! As always, we always welcome your feedback on how we’re doing. In addition, if you are interested in volunteering for a committee, or in some other regard, please feel free to reach out to any of us for more details! Again, welcome to Leadership Summit and enjoy your time in Northwest Arkansas!

Take Care, Scout Johnson Speaker, University of Arkansas—Fayetteville Graduate Student Congress Vice President, NAGPS
