ACG’S INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP WITH IMMIGRATION NEW ZEALAND ACG is one of 25 selected New Zealand education providers invited to participate in a new industry partnership initiative with Immigration New Zealand (INZ).
Students must also be applying for one of the following student visa types:
ACG is authorised to issue Visa Support Letters to students who have genuine intentions to study at ACG Schools; have access to funds to maintain themselves while enrolled at ACG and who meet our entry requirements.

STUDENT FEE PROTECTION The New Zealand Qualifications Authority requires Private Training Establishments to provide security for the repayment of prepaid fees in the event programmes are terminated early. Accordingly, in the event a programme is terminated and alternative tuition services are not provided, the student is entitled to a refund of prepaid student fees pro rata for the balance of the course based upon the number of full weeks required to complete the programme. All student fees paid in advance are held in a trust account managed by the Public Trust.

Accident Insurance

The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents, and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at www.acc.co.nz
Eligibility for Health Services Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed on their website at www.moh.govt.nz
Medical and Travel Insurance International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance for the full duration of any programme while studying in New Zealand.

UNDER 18 YEARS OLD? We enrol students from 17 years old and above. Students who are under 18 years old must stay with our approved Homestay family or with their parents, or an ACG approved designated caregiver. In addition: • We must have 24 hour emergency contact details for parents or legal guardian • A monthly report will be provided to parents or legal guardian on the student’s progress • Students must meet the International Liaison Officer weekly to ensure the student is well supported • Students need to seek approval from ACG Yoobee School of Design before making arrangements for holidays with a written confirmation from their parents or legal guardian
MEDICAL AND TRAVEL INSURANCE 12 months – $500 NZD or 13 months $541 NZD (fee subject to change) Students are required to have comprehensive medical and travel insurance in New Zealand. ACG Yoobee School of Design will arrange comprehensive insurance cover for students through the Southern Cross International Student Max Policy to cover the whole length of the student visa. GOODS AND SERVICES TAX All fees are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable. This is a New Zealand Government tax payable on the supply of goods and services.
NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT EXPORT EDUCATION LEVY The New Zealand government has approved an international student levy on tuition and programme related fees. As at August 2013 the levy was set at 0.45% of the compulsory tuition fees.

Step 1: Application

• Evidence of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent) • Curriculum Vitae/Resume (if available) • Statement of purpose or study plan Step 2: Enrolment
• Pay all fees (tuition fees, accommodation placement, accommodation, medical and travel insurance)* • Make travel and accommodation arrangements
• Issue Public Trust receipt • Assist the student with student visa, accommodation and other arrangements (connect student with our student community) if needed
• Prepare for student visa application Step 3: Completion
• Send a copy of student visa • Inform ACG Yoobee School of Design of your arrival details
• Confirm accommodation and airport pick up arrangement (if needed) • Arrange medical and travel insurance • Send first day and orientation information
Step 4: Arrival
Report to ACG Yoobee School of Design:
• Orientation
• Attend orientation
• Help students settling into New Zealand
• Bring passport and present student visa
• Complete enrolment process
