EMPLOYEE USER GUIDE

Welcome to Valeant’s online Performance Management System! The performance management system is a tool that allows employees and managers to have clarity around performance and expectations and to ensure strong results against goals throughout the year. This document is a user reference guide that provides a step-by-step process on how to use the system, including entering business goals, development goals, and performance reviews.

>> System Log-In When you receive an email with your unique user name and password, there will be a link to get to the ReviewSnap landing page. You can also go directly to the ReviewSnap website at https://www.reviewsnap.com/login.cfm?id=5581 to log in. If you have already set but forgot your password, there is a link to get a temporary password.

After you log into the ReviewSnap system, it will bring you to a Welcome Page. Click on Manage Reviews.

This brings you to a page where you can view your employee information.

On the left side of the screen, you will see a few options:  Create or Complete a Review is where you go to complete your self-review  View Completed Reviews allows you to view any previously completed reviews  Manage Business and Development Goals allows you to enter your goals for the performance year  Update Employee Information allows you to change your password at any time

>> Enter/Manage Business & Development Goals Under the Manage Business and Development Goals section, employees are able to enter their business goals for the year as well as add any development goals.

Once you click on Manage Business and Development Goals, the system will ask you to select the current review period. Please select 2015 Performance Reviews – 1/1/2015 – 12/31/2015.

The system will then bring you to the screen where you can enter goals. There are two separate sections: one for adding Business Goals and one for adding Development Goals. Go to the applicable section and click on Add a Goal.

In the Goal Description section, enter your first performance goal. Enter any qualitative or quantitative metrics for your goal as appropriate. When you are done, click on Create to save the changes. If you want to add another goal, click on Create and Add New Goal. Continue the process until you have entered all of your performance goals.

>> Complete a Performance Review After you have entered your performance goals, it is time to complete a self-assessment. Click on Create or Complete a Review to get started.

Once you click on Create or Complete a Review, the system will ask you to select the current review period. Please select 2015 Performance Reviews (1/1/2015 – 12/31/2015).

The system will also ask you to select a performance review template. Make sure the information is correct and click Continue.

The system will then ask you to confirm that you have made the correct selections for your self-review. Click Continue.

This brings you into the actual performance review. The top of each section shows the goals you entered previously. You will be able to enter your self-assessment against each goal in the space provided. The system will allow you to use pictures and tables as needed.

Once you have completed your self-assessment, click Next to proceed to the next screen. You also have the option to click Save Only to save your progress or to Save and Exit.

>> Career Goals After you have completed your self-review, the next section will ask you to answer questions regarding your career aspirations and goals at Valeant.

Once you have answered the questions, click Next to proceed to the next screen. You also have the option to click Save Only to save your progress or to Save and Exit. If you want to go back to the previous screen, click Previous.

>> Overall Comments In the next section, you will have the opportunity to enter any overall comments regarding your performance. You have the option to click Save Only to save your progress or to Save and Exit. If you want to go back to the previous screen, click Previous. To continue with submitting your assessment, click Next.

>> Submit for Manager Review On this page, you will have several options. In the drop down menu, you can go back to any section that you have completed so far in the process and review/edit your work. If you select the Finalize Review section, you can click on the appropriate links to submit your performance review to your manager, send an email to your manager if you have a question regarding your performance review, or save your progress and exit without submitting your review.

Once you click to submit your performance review to your manager, the system will send an email notification to your manager that they can begin to go over what you have submitted and complete their review.

>> Provide eSignatures Once your manager has completed your performance review, they will sign the document electronically and release it to you for your review and signature. You will be notified by email once your performance review is ready to be viewed and signed. At that point, you will log into the system and click on Manage eSignatures.

You have the following options:  

View is where you go to view and/or print a pdf document of your performance review Signatures allow you to enter and save your electronic signature

Once you provide your signature, the performance plan is considered closed. A pdf document of your self-review and manager assessment will be available to you whenever you log into the system.

>> How to View Your Performance Review You will be able to view a pdf version of your employee review in three instances: 1. After you submit your self-review to your manager 2. After your manager releases the completed performance review back to you 3. After you provide your electronic signature and the plan is considered closed After you submit your self-review to your manager, you will be brought to the page below. Click on View to see a pdf document of what you have entered in the system so far. Please note: this pdf document will not include any comments made by your manager.

Once your manager has completed your performance review and released the performance plan back to you, you will again be able to see a pdf document, but this time it will include your manager’s ratings and comments.

Finally, after you enter your signature and close out the performance plan, you will see this additional link on your home screen, which allows you to view your completed performance plan. If you do not see that link, please work with your manager to close out your 2015 plan.
