Accommodations: Below is information and links to accommodations in the area where BMCA has reserved a room block for a discounted rate using the reference ‘BMCA/CONF’: •

To lower the hotel costs, we have opted for a lot of twin, triple and quadruple rooms. This means you can make a reservation for a ‘bed’ in a twin, triple or quadruple room. In that case you will be sharing the room with another nice participant of the conference! If you know with whom you want to share a room, make arrangements before with each other and make only one reservation for a twin room. This only will be a good deal if you arrive and leave at the same date.

When you want a double bed, and not the twin variation with two separate beds, you will have to mention this explicitly when you make the reservation.

All options include breakfast, but do not include the ‘tourist tax’ which comes more or less to € 2,5/night/person

To reserve a room/bed: contact by email or phone the hotels or hostel below using reference: BMCA/CONF

All hotels and the hostel in the list are located in the center of Gent, within walking or cycling distance of the Bijlokesite, where pre-conference, conference and post-conference will take place.

The reception point of the conference will be on the Bijlokesite at the Museum STAM, Godhuizenlaan 2, 9000 Gent www.stamgent.be.

All hotels (except Hostel Backstay) can provide private parking places for bikes. As to parking places for cars, please inquire at the hotels for the possibilities.

Hostel Backstay is a youth hostel but will also provide sheets, towels, and breakfast.

Of course, participants are free to choose one of the options mentioned below or not. For other accommodation options (other hotels, hostels, b&b) visit www.visitgent.be. Lastly, the website www.airbnb.be will lead you to accommodation options in private homes.
