2015 Beer & Music Festival 23rd - 26th October For a sweet treat visit 'Fayre by Alley' at their stall inside the main event venue at Oxenhope and try a delicious Nanaimo Bar. A three layer dessert square with a biscuit, butter, cocoa and coconut base, a sweet & soft custardy middle with a solid dark chocolate top. Available in a range of flavours. The 'Fayre by Alley' stall will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. BEERS WITH FLAVOURS OF CHOCOLATE, COFFEE, FRUIT OR SPICES If you like your beers with flavours of chocolate, coffee, fruit or spices, you may like to consider trying some of those mentioned below. Chocolate Orange Stout (4.0%) Beer Style: Stout Colour: Dark Stout with chocolate malt and curacao orange peel. Vanilla pods added during fermentation and more orange is added into each cask, followed by a long slow maturation.

Autumn Breeze (ABV 4.6%)* Beer Style: Old Ale Colour: Dark A wonderful dark old ale. A nice roast malt aroma is carried through in the taste and combines with some berry fruit and chocolate. The finish is smooth and fruity with hoppy bitterness.

Black Velvet (ABV 4.0%) Beer Style: Porter Colour: Dark Dark malts and English hops hark back to the rich coffee and roast flavours of the 18th century in this dark ruby porter.

Evensong (ABV 5.0%) Beer Style: Premium Bitter/ESB Colour: Red/Ruby Traditional English ruby bitter. Smooth, balanced toffee and caramel combine with English golding, fuggles and challenger hops to make a superb early 20th century malty bitter.

White Stout (ABV 7.2%) Beer Style: English Strong Ale Colour: Pale/Straw While the word "stout" has come to mean a dark beer, the original meaning was strong and true. Before the porter brewers commandeered the word to mean a stout, or strong, porter it referred to any strong beer. White Stout is a very pale, full bodied strong beer. American columbus hops are used throughout to give massive floral and resinous character. A pale body supports perfumy, spicy hop flavours and aromas. Intense bitterness is balanced by forest fruits and mango. At a strength of 7.2% this is a true stout. Indeed, few modern stouts of any colour are true to the word for strong.

Ale to the Tzar (ABV 4.1%) Beer Style: Golden/Blond Ale Colour: Pale/Straw A pale smooth well balanced beer with some sweetness leading to a nutty, malty & satisfying aftertaste. Very pale & intensely citrussy.

Amish Mash (ABV 4.7%) Beer Style: Speciality/Grain Colour: Pale/Straw Amish Mash is a fusion of European and American beer styles. A German style cloudy wheat beer brewed with wheat malt and German Weizen yeast, hopped with loads of American hops late in the boil and during fermentation. The result combines the estery banana and clove notes of the weizen with the fruity notes of the American IPA style hops. This beer is naturally cloudy because it is unfined and thus suitable for vegans.

Green Goddess (ABV 5.5%) Beer Style: India Pale Ale Colour: Golden Every year Ilkley brew a beer using fresh hops - picked straight from the bine and brewed with immediately to harness their fresh hoppy goodness. This year the beer has been brewed with the brand new British hop 'Olicana'.

Rivet Catcher (4.0%) Beer Style: Golden/Blond Ale Colour: Golden Named after a symbolic tradesman from Tyneside's glorious shipyard history. A light, smooth, satisfying gold bitter. Subtle fruity hops give the taste profile on tongue and nose.

McConnell's Irish Stout (4.6%) Beer Style: Dry Stout Colour: Dark In 1932 Patrick McConnell left Ireland looking for employment. He found work at Palmers Shipyard in Jarrow and lived the rest of his life at Jarrow on Tyneside. Today his grandson brews an Irish stout he would be proud of. A rich creamy stout, with a long lingering liquorice and pale chocolate finish.
