August 5, 2015 Dear members, The Y recently shared some thoughts on the impact we can have on a community by being part of an organization that dreams big, reaches high and inspires others to think differently. We talked about how “our members and friends call us THEIR Y and how we call them OUR greatest resource”. Every day thousands of people walk through our doors in order to make healthy choices in their lives. In some cases you can feel the impact Y programs have on our community without even physically walking through our doors. Either way, a healthy Y contributes to a healthy community and the Y is thankful to everyone who works alongside us in the work we do to build on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. With programs from A to Z, like aquatics to advocacy, dance classes to disease prevention, volleyball to volunteerism – we become the foundation for a holistic approach to wellbeing. Through these pages you will find the impact that the Y makes in our community in everything we do and together we can do so much more. We often say, “where others see obstacles, we see opportunities for our members, volunteers and staff to make a difference”. The partnership between the Fond du Lac Family YMCA & the Boys & Girls Club continues to flourish. The Y supports the work of the B&G Club by providing opportunities to 795 Club members to participate in summer camps, fitness classes & swim lessons at no cost. Summer Camp/Program
