Welcome to Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth In 2012, our physical capacity increased and our reach grew to include even more West Michigan youth and their families. We cannot wait to make an even bigger impact on the community around us in 2013. Thank you!

New Camp Cabin! Thanks to some fabulous donors and volunteers, Camp O’Malley added a much needed new cabin that can sleep ten campers and two staff, allowing more youth to experience camp each session!

Expanding our Reach!

480 Club members participated in our Power Hour program! Our Clubs served 480 youth during Power Hour, a comprehensive homework help and tutoring program, designed to raise the academic proficiency of Club members.

The Paul I. Phillips building was originally built as the gymnasium for Grand Rapids Christian High School and later sold to Kent County as a community recreation center. Thanks to the City of Grand Rapid’s partnership and community support, on June 11th, 2012, it became home to Boys & Girls Club programming. Paul I. Phillips was the first African American elected to office in Grand Rapids. His legacy of leadership will continue to shape the youth of our city.
