IMPORTANT INFORMATION AccesRail is an IATA member formed by a group of partner and participating railways. In joining forces, the goal of this coalition is to offer a greater distribution of their rail products to travel agents in their familiar environment, the GDS. Selling a train pass or point-to-point ticket for any of our partner and participating railways is as easy as creating an airline ticket. Simply issue your tickets directly on IATA/BSP/ARC ticket stocks and your customer is ready for travel. No special equipment, booking screens, or training is required. Now booking train tickets are a snap with AccesRail 9B. Don't forget, with each transaction comes a very competitive commission level. * F – First Class; Y – Standard Class. The ticket issued must be exchanged for a BritRail Pass at a BritRail exchange point- see below How to Book BritRail Passes (Agents outside Australia, Canada and Europe) AccesRail introduces one fast and simple way to sell rail passes in many different countries; all found under one carrier code 9B. Rail passes are sold in the same way as any normal destinations - availability display, booking, attaching the fare record and finally ticketing everything is based on the regular PNR. The rail passes are filed as pseudo trains/flights between XZU and XZP. When the availability request is issued for travel between these two points at any chosen date, the display will show the number of available "rail pass trains". Each train represents a rail pass type or part of a rail pass type as per the specific chart for BritRail. The date of travel indicates the date when the pass validity starts. The booking class F represents first class pass while the booking class Y represents the standard (coach) class. From the availability display the pass can be booked and put into a PNR. Once in the PNR the Pass can be auto priced as any other train or flight. Each rail pass train has a corresponding fare basis code and a fare (rail pass price) associated with it. Each rail pass requires only 1 booking. A Rail Pass segment cannot be ticketed with any other segment. The ticket issued must be exchanged for a BritRail Pass at a BritRail exchange point (see page 23). 6 Easy Steps to Sell

How to Book BritRail Passes (European agents only) AccesRail introduces one fast and simple way to sell rail passes in many different countries; all found under one carrier code 9B. Rail passes are sold in the same way as any normal destinations - availability display, booking, attaching the fare record and finally ticketing - everything is based on the regular PNR. The rail passes are filed as pseudo trains/flights between XZE and XZP.

25

The next pages contain information about our newest products, available for distribution in Canada and USA. In addition to our BritRail passes, Canadian and US agents can book some of the most popular rail products - Eurail passes, Scanrail pass and Norway in a Nutshell. Only Canadian and U.S. agents can sell Eurail and Norway in a Nutshell Passes. A designated train number represents each product and different booking classes represent the validities/duration of the passes. US agents have to display availability between XZU-XZP. Canadian agents display availability between XZR-XZP. Book the desired product and build the PNR as you would for any other airline - add passenger name, ticketing time limit, store the fare, etc. When you end and retrieve the PNR, the segments will be confirmed and you will see a new OSI line advising you to fax a copy of the flight coupons to AccesRail’s toll free number. Minimum advance purchase period is 7 days before the first travel date. Note that in order to price a segment, it has to be already confirmed. Before printing the ticket, make sure that you have booked the correct train number and corresponding booking class. The product name and the validity will be entered in the endorsement box. You will notice that the ticket is endorsed as "not valid for travel". The actual travel documents will be delivered to your agency via courier. Before the shipment, AccesRail has to receive a copy of the ATB/OPTAT ticket. The produced ticket has to be faxed to AccesRail's toll free fax number 1-877-625-4100. The exact delivery address, contact person and telephone number must be written on the fax. All travel documents provided by AccesRail will be stapled in product corresponding ticket jackets without which the passes will not be accepted in Europe. You will also receive brochures and/or travel guides. Shipping and handling fees are included in the price of the products. All payments have to be made through ARC/BSP. Please keep ATB/OPTAT tickets, in case of refund. Refunds cannot be processed through BSP/ARC. In order to request refund please contact directly AccesRail. How to Book Eurail Passes (Canadian and US Agents only) Display availability between XZU/XZP (for US agents) or XZR/XZP (for Canadian agents). How to book JR East Pass

The rail passes are filed as pseudo trains/flights between XZJ (Rail) and XZP (Pass). When the availability request is made for travel between these two points at any chosen date, the display will show the number of available "rail pass trains". Each train represents a rail pass type as per the table above. The date of travel indicates the date when the pass validity starts. The booking class F represents first class pass while the booking class Y represents the standard (coach) class. From the availability display the pass can be booked and put into a PNR. Once in the PNR the Pass can be auto priced as any other flight or train. Each rail pass train has a corresponding fare basis code and a fare (rail pass price) associated with it. Each rail pass requires only 1 booking. A Rail Pass segment cannot be ticketed with any other segment. The ticket issued must be exchanged for JR East Pass at exchange office in Japan within three months of purchase. 6 Easy Steps to Sell Steps

Validity The JR EAST PASS is valid for travel on all of the 72 railway lines of JR EAST: • limited express trains (except private compartments or berths), including Shinkansen super express trains; • express trains (except berths, etc.); • local trains (except "Liner"/"Home Liner"). (for trains referred to in parentheses above, passenger must pay the respective additional charges in addition to the limited express or ordinary express charge. In this case, the PASS is valid for the basic fare only.) Some JR EAST trains also travel on other companies' lines. Passengers using such trains traveling on non-JR EAST lines must pay the respective fares and charges applicable to the distances traveled on such lines. Please note the 9B Sales Manual 2008

The JR EAST PASS is not valid for the Tokaido Shinkansen and the Sanyo Shinkansen lines, which connect Tokyo and western Japan cities, such as Kyoto, Osaka, or Fukuoka, and which start from Tokyo station like JR EAST's five Shinkansen lines. The Tokaido Shinkansen and Sanyo Shinkansen lines are run respectively by JR CENTRAL and JR WEST. (Between Tokyo and Atami, use "Odoriko", "Super-view Odoriko", or local trains.) For more info on JR East please refer to http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/

Other Conditions of Use 1. The JR EAST PASS may only be used by the person whose name appears on the face of the PASS. Passenger must carry his/her passport at all times during the trip and be prepared to present it when requested. 2. The starting date of validity of the JR EAST PASS cannot be changed. 3. Exchange Voucher and PASS cannot be reissued if it is lost or stolen. 4. The PASS cannot be refunded or extended due to interruptions in train service, late departures or any other reasons. 5. These and other usage conditions are based on the JR EAST passenger transportation regulations and Japanese laws. The validity of the Exchange Voucher before passenger exchanges it for the JR EAST PASS is based on the regulations of the company that issues the Voucher. 6. Any violation of these conditions of use and regulations will render the PASS void and the PASS will be confiscated. In the event of such violation a fine of three times the fares and changes for all sections traveled shell be collected. 7. The contents of this pamphlet are subject to change without notice. JR EAST will not make a refund or compensation in the event of such change.

Making Seat Reservations The seat can be reserved without extra charge. Visit a JR EAST Travel Service Center (View Plaza) or JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi) in advance and present the PASS. If passenger boards a train without a reserved-seat ticket, or if the reserved-seating area of the train is full, the passenger will have to travel in the non-reserved-seating area. If this happens, the difference in fare between reserved seat and non-reserved seat will not be refunded. When using trains on which the seat reservation is mandatory such as the Tohoku Shinkansen Hayate, Akita Shinkansen Komachi and Narita Express, the passenger will not be permitted to board without seat reservation. Note: With the JR EAST PASS and reserved-seat ticket passenger cannot pass an automatic ticket gate. Please proceed to a staff attended gate instead.
