New washing technology
Especially intelligent. The Anti-crease system Starting today, ironing chores will progress a lot more smoothly - thanks to the Siemens Anti-crease system. At the mere push of a button, the laundry will come out of the washer with noticeably fewer creases. This is the result of the combined actions of a larger drum, a newly designed interval spinning program, a special post-spin laundry loosening cycle, and a larger washer door for easier unloading of finshed laundry loads. Now there’s something to write home about. Really thoughtful. The details. The ‘Bull’s Eye’ door is an enormous benefit, literally. It measures 30 cm wide, opens right out at a full 180-degree and has an ergonomicalydesigned handle to make loading and unloading much easier. On the ‘hand wash wool’ programme, you can trust the Siwamat XL/XLS with your most delicate woollens as it leaves them even cleaner and softer than washing by hand! And the ‘Quick Wash’ programme means that lightly soiled items can be washed in just 35 minutes, cutting washing time by upto 40%. Now, that’s really impressive!

Especially capacious. The Drum. Laundry drum claustrophobia! It’s a thing of the past. The cure? A 20% increase in drum capacity. The decidedly larger drum capacity in the new SIWAMAT XL/XLS allows laundry to unfold and relax. During the wash cycle and all following spin cycles, your laundry will stay a lot looser in the drum, reducing the formation of wrinkles and creases. Of course, there’s more laundry going in: A maximum load of 6 kgs allow you to wash less often, saving you precious time and energy. Short Wash Option This is ideal for lightly soiled items- the overall programme time is reduced by 21-45% depending on the programme selected. Unlike normal short wash programmes, there is no need to reduce the wash load. An easy care programme can take as little as 45-50 minutes depending on the selected temperature. Intensive/Stains option Allows washing of items that are heavily soiled more intensively in order to provide optimum wash results.
Fuzzy logic control Fuzzy logic controls the following stags of the programme. Automatic load adjustment system There is no need for half a load button on any Siemens washing machine. Fuzzy logic will automatically control the water level according to the load size and type. Naturally, if the right amount of water is being used for each individual load, then less energy is required to heat the water, therefore the running cost will be reduced. Foam suppression If too much foam is detected during the rinsing cycle the foam suppression system will automatically detect this, and will either reduce the agitation levels, or add an extra rinse cycle depending on the amount of foam detected. Delay Timer It is possible to delay the wash time of the programme from 1-19 hours. Ideal for using on cheaper night rates of electricity or simply for a more convenient time. Remaining time indicator The number of minutes the programme has left to run will be displayed. This is a useful guide to check the length of the programme before finishing.
Less ironing option A special less ironing spinning programme has also been incorporated into the spin speed selector. This programme will provide an interval spin, so that clothes are gently tumbled during the spinning cycle, and, at the end of the programme in order to reduce the creasing and minimise ironing. Hand wash wool programme With the special Siemens handwash wool programme woollens that would usually need to be handwashed can be safely washed in the machine. The speed of the drum and the agitation level are reduced so that the woollens are gently rocked. At the end of the rinse cycles is a gentle spin for quicker drying, keeping woollens in great shape. Programme selector One multi-function selector dial enables you to set both the temperature and programme to suit a variety of fabric types. An option button can also be added, then all that is needed to begin the programme is to press the start button, and the machine does the rest.
3D Aquatronic washing system This washing systems consists of three ways of water filling. Specially designed paddles for excellent wash results whilst looking after the fabrics. If a delicate programme has been selected, a lifting action is provided by the softly rounded side of the paddles, ensuring that the clothes are lifted and then gently dropped in to the base of the drum. For more robust fabrics e.g. cotton, the angled side of the paddle is utilised lifting the clothes higher and thus providing a more intensive wash action and improved fabric care. Water will enter through the drum perforations and additional holes in the back wall of the drum to speed up fill times.

Separate spin selector The spin speed selector is ideal if you wish to reduce the spin speed for more delicate fabrics. The optimum speed will automatically be selected once the programme has been chosen. However, if you wish to reduce this, simply turn the dial to the required spin speed, an LED light will show this. This is useful if you live in a soft water area, or, if you are particularly allergic to today’s detergents and therefore wish to rinse more.
AquaSensor Siemens washing machines have many features designed to make life easier. This enables upto 30 shirts to be washed at once! 1800 door opening The porthole has a diameter of 30 cms and will open to 1800. This enables the laundry to be loaded and unloaded easily, especially convenient for larger items that are to be washed. Less ironing option The larger capacity drum gives the fabric more room to move around, this together with the special less ironing option will considerably reduce ironing. This programme will provide an interval spin, so that clothes are gently tumbled during the spinning cycle and at the end of the programme in order to reduce creasing and minimise ironing.
