For information, call Kim Moats, 306-539-5944 5:30pm Saturday night there will be a FREE Cowboy Dressage information clinic in the Golden Mile Arena hosted by our Judges, Lyn Ringrose-Moe and Marina Bone. There will be demo rides followed by questions from the audience. This is an opportunity to come and bring your questions to the Judges prior to the commencement of the Show. 7:00pm The Show will begin with Partnership Tests followed by Freestyle. ***We have added an exhibition class for the 6 and under - Partnership Lead line. The class will be judged as a regular Partnership on the Ground, but with the added benefit of getting those who aren't ready to go out on their own a chance to show! This class will be held on Saturday evening, September 5, starting at 7:00pm. All Rules, Tests, Call Sheets can be found on the Cowboy Dressage Website http://www.cowboydressageworld.com

1st Canadian National Cowboy Dressage Show and Gathering AWARDS 1. Class Placings will be placed from First to Tenth place 2. Ribbon Awards will be awarded for places 1st - 5th 3. Class Division High Point and Reserve Awards: Walk/Jog, Walk/Jog/Lope, Challenge, Vaquero, Gaited, Partnership, Freestyle 4. Overall High Point Ribbons and Awards will be awarded for each Rider Division (Open, Am, Youth) 5. Overall Reserve High Point Ribbons and Awards will be awarded for each Rider Division (Open, Am, Youth) 6. Honorary High Score Ribbons and Awards will be given to those, regardless of Rider Division, who have declared a Veteran and/or Someone who has dealt with Cancer and/or 4H Member on their registration form. Only one award per rider, determined by the Committee. 7. Overall High Single Score Ribbon and Award will be awarded to the individual who has the highest single score (percentage given by judge on each test) Ties will be broken by the highest Soft Feel Test score 8. Overall Reserve High Single Score Ribbon and Award will be awarded to the individual who has the second highest single score (percentage given by judge on each test) 9. Judge's Ribbon and Award will be given to the rider voted most improved during the show by the Judges. 10. Helmet Incentive will be given to the Highest Test Score in each of the 7 Class Divisions, and only given if the Rider was wearing a helmet. If the Highest Test score did not have a Rider that wore a helmet, then the rider wearing a helmet with the next highest test score will be given the award. 11. Lead Line Partnership on the Ground is an exhibition class and will not be included in overall High Point calculations

High Point Award Calculations and Eligibility Requirements: 1. Points per class placing: 1st(10), 2nd(9), 3rd(8), 4th(7), 5th(6), 6th(5), 7th(4), 8th(3), 9th(2), 10th(1) 2. Points will be totaled for each Class and Rider Division (ie: Walk Jog Amateur) for each horse and rider combination to determine High Point Awards 3. Open and Amateur classes with only one competitor do not count toward High Point 4. Each Horse and Rider combination must show in a minimum of FOUR classes overall for Walk/Jog Walk/Jog/Lope, Challenge, Vaquero, Gaited. 5. Each horse and rider combination must show in a minimum of TWO classes overall for the Freestyle Division, Partnership Division. 6. Each Horse is limited to FOUR under saddle tests per day or EIGHT tests per show, AND FOUR ground tests per day or EIGHT tests per show. 7. Top FOUR highest scoring classes will be counted for High Point. Top TWO highest scoring Freestyle classes will be counted for High Point. 8. All ties will be broken by the Soft Feel Test score

Awards ceremony will begin approximately 1 hour after the final ride on Monday, Sept 7. A Note about Freestyle: If you are considering showing any of the Freestyles please be mindful: The Cowboy Dressage Freestyle is a showcase of accomplishments between horse and rider through the levels. The horse and rider must be prepared and able to do the Cowboy Dressage maneuvers required for the Test successfully with grace, finesse and respect the Freestyle deserves. Partnership, Harmony, and Soft Feel are still a priority when scoring the Freestyle. The Freestyle should be fun and entertaining, while still a celebration of our finest horsemanship.

1st Canadian National Cowboy Dressage Show and Gathering Rules and Regulations 1. All competitors must be a member of Saskatchewan Cowboy Dressage. 2. All competitors under the age of 18 (as of January 1st of the current year) must wear an approved ASTM/SEI safety helmet as per the Saskatchewan Horse Federation rules. Helmets must be worn when either mounted or on the ground. 3. Entries must be in the hand of the show secretary, Roberta Robertson, by August 15, 2015. Late entries will be assessed a $35 late fee. If you want to be stabled beside someone, you must indicate on your entry form. All stalls must be cleaned prior to departure. 5. You must sign a waiver. 6. Entry fees will only be refunded with a written statement from a veterinarian that the horse is unable to compete. There will be no refunds available after closing date. 7. Office fees are non-refundable 8. Horse/rider combination will be given an assigned number, which must be worn at all times when riding. 9. Saskatchewan Cowboy Dressage reserves the right to excuse anyone from the show for abuse and/or neglect of their animal(s), inappropriate behavior etc. 10. Use of whips/crops/spurs - only one whip may be carried during a ride. A crop or standard dressage whip not to exceed 4' in length is allowed. Excessive use of the whip or spurs will be penalized. 11. No unsportsmanlike conduct will be tolerated from any exhibitor, coach or parent. Violators will be asked to leave. 12. Exhibitors, upon entry, will hold harmless and indemnify Saskatchewan Cowboy Dressage, its volunteers, participants, and management for any and all liabilities or personal injury to rider, horse or spectator resulting from participation in this show. 13. Rules and regulations are the responsibilities of the owners, riders and trainers for compliance with the rules of Cowboy Dressage. 14. Items for the Silent Auction would be welcomed. Please bring these to the office to be recorded. Thank you! 15. Walk/Jog Test Division Walk/Jog Lope Test Division Challenge Test Division Vaquero Test Division Freestyle Test Division Partnership Test Division Gaited Test Division *

*Gaited horse may ride in any test division appropriate for their rider (Open, Am, Jr.), but will judged on the Walk/Jog/Lope gaits defined in the test. If the gaited horse cannot "jog", this may result in a very low score. We would hope the gaited horses wholeheartedly support the Gaited Test Division. It was designed specifically for the gaited horse.

Open - Professionals (Those who have made money with training or showing of horses), Adults and Youth may enter Amateur - Adults (non-Pro) and Youth may enter Youth - Under 18 (as of January 1st of the current year) Cross entering Tests and Rider Divisions is allowed if the definitions above apply

CALLERS The rider is encouraged to memorize their tests. The use of a caller is NOT MANDAORY. Cowboy Dressage World allows the rider to use a caller of their choice, however, the ultimate responsibility for accurate and correct riding to the test falls upon the rider. If the rider chooses to use a caller, it is the rider's responsibility to arrange for one, and for their caller to be prompt. Saskatchewan Cowboy Dressage will not be providing callers for riders.
