This special programme showcases a myriad of musical talent from Scotland’s Proms in the Park 2013, including award-winning singer Alfie Boe, Melanie C, Scots soprano Kate Valentine, tenor Nicky Spence and BBC Young Musician of the Year 2002 Jennifer Pike. As well as key musical performances, the BBC SSO combined the talents of some of Scotland’s finest traditional musicians including John McCusker and Donald Shaw for an unforgettable performance against a backdrop of stunning footage from BBC Scotland’s acclaimed Hebrides: Islands on the Edge series.
