Be careful about leaning back too far. Keep a firm hold with both hands. Never stand on swing, glider or seesaw. Keep feet out from under seesaw when descending. Provide clearance for wires, tree limbs, and other possible hazards. • Remove any obstructions from beneath the trampoline and trampoline enclosure. • Allow only one person on the trampoline at a time. • Do not attempt or allow somersaults on the trampoline. • Do not use trampoline in inclement weather. • Only purchase a trampoline that meets safety requirements of The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). • Only use an enclosure with a trampoline supplied by the same manufacturer. Additionally, the trampoline enclosure is only to be used as an enclosure for a trampoline of a size for which the enclosure is designed. • Be sure there is adult supervision at all times.

Swing, Glider & Seesaw Safety

Trampolines

• Hold on with both hands as you climb steps, and take one step at a time. • Never go up the sliding surface or the frame. • Slide down feet first, always sitting up, one child at a time. • Keep at least one arm’s length between each other. • Be sure no one is in front of the slide before sliding down. • Be patient, avoid pushing or shoving, and wait your turn. • Leave the bottom of the slide after you have taken your turn.

Every gym set we offer is made of durable materials to provide years of safe fun. We also provide measurements and features to help you select the right design. For more information, please see a Team Member.

• Always supervise children at play and encourage them to follow simple safety rules.

• Never attach or allow children to attach ropes, jump ropes, clotheslines or pet leashes to equipment.

Slide Safety

• A shock-absorbing play surface is important. Maintain a minimum depth of 9 inches of loose-fill materials such as wood mulch/chips, engineered wood fiber (EWF) or shredded/recycled rubber mulch for equipment up to 8 feet high; and 9 inches of sand or pea gravel for equipment up to 5 feet high. NOTE: An initial fill level of 12 inches will compress to about a 9-inch depth of surfacing over time. The surfacing will also compact, displace, and settle, and should be periodically refilled to maintain at least a 9-inch depth.

• All elevated surfaces, such as platforms, should have guardrails to prevent falls.

• Before purchasing a gym set, check the “Set-Up” dimensions. When planning your play space, make sure it includes at least a 6-foot “Safety Zone” surrounding the play equipment in all directions. Please refer to the individual gym sets in this brochure for suggested “Safety Zone” measurements.

• Regularly check play equipment for any sharp points or edges, loose supports, anchors or footings; open “S” hooks or protruding end bolts; or cracked surfaces. Replace any missing hardware.

• Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for anchoring.
