Glimpses of North India Rajasthan – 10 nights/ 11 days Day 01 Arrive Delhi On arrival in Delhi you will be met and transferred to hotel Connaught (4 star) Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 Delhi Breakfast at the hotel. A.m. visit New Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, Bahai Temple, Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. India Gate (War Memorial Arch), also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. P.m. visit Old Delhi. Visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, and Chandni Chowk. Overnight at the hotel. * Do note that Red Fort remains closed on Mondays.

Day 03 Delhi - Sikandra (198 kms, +/- 4.5 hours) Sikandra - Agra (08 kms, +/- 15 mins) Breakfast at the hotel. A.m. drive to Agra. Enroute visit Sikandra. Akbar's Mausoleum at Sikandra is a fusion of Muslim Hindu architectural style which is characteristic of that period. On arrival transfer to hotel Howard Park Plaza (4 star) P.m. visits. Visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Overnight at the hotel. * Do note that Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays.

Day 04 Agra - Fatehpur Sikri (36 kms, +/- 1 hour) Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur (198, +/- 4.5 hours) Breakfast at the hotel. A.m. visits. Visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad- ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father. P.m drive to Jaipur. Enoute visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is 36 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. On arrival check in at hotel Country Inns & Suites (4 star) Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 Jaipur Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit Amber Fort Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Ascend the Fort on Elephant back. P.m. city tour + local bazaars/ shopping. The capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 Jaipur – Jodhpur (330 kms, +/- 7 hours) Breakfast at the hotel. Morning drive to Jodhpur. On arrival check in at hotel Park Plaza (4 star) P.m. at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07 Jodhpur Breakfast at the hotel. Full day visits. Visit the Meharangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone Hill, including Moti-Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memorium built in 1899 and the museum located in the Umaid Public Gardens. Overnight at the hotel.

Morning drive to Udaipur. Enroute visit Ranakpur. 90 kms from Udaipur, the Jain Temples built in the 15th century are situated in the lovely valley of the Aravali. Its surrounding is quiet and picturesque. Ranakpur has grand structures and beautiful sculpture. There are 1444 pillars in the temple and none of them are similar. The magic of light and shade is really awe inspiring. Surya Temple and other Jain Temples are side attractions. On arrival check in at hotel Jagat Niwas Palace - Deluxe room (Heritage - 3 star) Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 Udaipur Breakfast at the hotel. Morning city tour. Visit the city palace, Jagdish Temple, drive around Fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion ki bari (queen's resort for her friends ) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (folk art museum). Late afternoon boat ride on lake Pichola. Boat cruise on Pichola Lake 4 km long and 3 km broad, surrounded by splendid hills, palaces, temples,bathing ghats and embankments. Also visit the island palace Jag Niwas in the lake. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Udaipur - Delhi Breakfast on board flight. A.m. at leisure. Later transfer to airport for flight to Delhi 9W708 UDR/DEL 1530/1640 hrs. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Hotel Connaught (4 star) Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Depart Delhi Transfer to international airport for flight back home.
