Terms & Conditions of Rate Contract 1. The services will be provided to this Institute, its centres located at Bangalore, Mukteswar (Kumaon), Kolkata, Palampur, Pune CARI and its centre at Bhubaneswar. 2. The service provider will arrange to collect samples (Such as cell pellet/tissues in RNAlater, purified/cloned PCR products, protein samples etc.) from the Institute/Regional stations and transport it in suitable container containing dry ice, wet ice etc. at their own cost so that the samples are not destroyed. 3. The analysis/work report alongwith soft copy & hard copy (if required) will have to be submitted within one month from date of collection of samples. The liquidated damage charges @0.5% per week shall be imposed if above is given after expiry of delivery period subject to maximum 10% of the total contract value. 4. The Rate Contract will be for a period of one year & may be extended for a period of 6 months. 5. The work order will be placed as per requirement irrespective of value of the order. 6. No revision in rate (on higher side) will be accepted during contract period. 7. Taxes and other Govt. levies will be paid extra as applicable. 8. Payment will be made after receipt of satisfactory report of the samples mentioned in the work order. No payment will be made for erroneous results or failures. 9. In case a proposal is accepted the firm shall sign an agreement with us while entering into rate contract. 10. While submitting the tender document, the tenderer should specifically sign on each page of the tender document. 11. The tenderer should enclose a signed copy of the terms & conditions stipulated for award of the contract, conveying his acceptance of the same. 12. The dispute arising between manufacturer and the purchaser will be referred to Arbitrator appointed by the Secretary, ICAR, New Delhi for which sole arbitration and decision there on will be binding upon both the parties i.e. manufacturer/supplier and purchaser. 13. Any dispute arising between manufacturer and the purchaser will be referred to Arbitrator appointed by the Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi for which sole arbitration and decision there on will be binding upon both the parties i.e. manufacturer/supplier and purchaser. 14. The Director, IVRI reserves the right to cancel the rate contract without assigning any reason.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS/TENDERERS 1. The Rate Contract will be valid for the period of 12 months from date of award of Rate Contract. The period may be extended upto 6 months, if required. 2. While submitting the tender the company should give details about their infrastructure facilities and the team working with them. The company should have the experience in the market for the last 2 years (This should be substantiated with proof). 3. The Annual Turn Over of the firm during last 2 years should be Rs.50.00 lakh (Enclose document in support of the claim). 4. The Bid Security (EMD) for Rate Contract worth Rs.10,000.00 (Rupees Ten Thousand only) for each services is to be paid in the form of BG/FDR in favour of ICAR-IVRI-Unit, IVRI, Izatnagar This amount (Bid Security) will be converted into performance Security money, if rate contract is awarded. 5. In case the service is made through valid authorized dealer, their name & mail address for Bareilly, Mukteswar (U.K), Bangalore, Kolkata, Palampur (H.P), Pune Bhubneswar may be indicated in the tender at Annexure-B 6. Incomplete proposals and tenders received after due date shall not be entertained. 7. In Case of discrepancy between unit price & total price, the unit price shall prevail. 8. Authorization Certificate from the Principal is mandatory of the Rate Contract proposal is submitted by authorized stockiest/dealers. 9. The competent authority reserve the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assignment any reason.
